Kyoto Animation began streaming a special announcement video on Monday for the Sound! Euphonium anime to commemorate the announcement that the anime is getting a film and a sequel TV series.

I don't know why you people do this to yourselves xD There is probably a zero chance of KumiRei happening, no matter what they say that it will be different to the novels. KyoAni (or at least what I've watched of their animes) always stick to the source material.

In Chuunibyou they introduced Dekomori just for the anime and just to keep Nibutani in the yuri teasing zone... Btw they're so cute together getting jealous and blushing, but too dense to make it official.

I meant for end-game stuff, it doesn't matter if they introduced her (even more so if it's for bait) if in the novel she ends up with a guy. Eventually she'll end up with him, because they're faithful to source material.

If they build the story towards that ending, then so be it... If not, then leave it open and don't force it like "Oh geez she didn't love me back... Well there's my childhood friend, so I guess this is it" -The End- you know what I mean? if you're right, it can only be proved with the second season.

I'm doubting all people would agree xD Considering the yuri teasing in the first season (haven't watched it, had enough of K-ON clones) people will really rage when they go the het route.

As for people who say that the directors/writers have said that they'll deviate a little from the books and are saying that they'll definitely end up together, one of the directors and the VA for Kumiko or Reina have said when they asked about that romance that it's 'just a phase', so take it as you will.

I'm just saying, don't get your hopes up (: Lest it becomes another Stretch (I know it didn't have a het ending, but the teasing was really strong) xD

If you don't watch it maybe you shouldn't comment. First, saying Hibike is a clone of K-on means you know nothing about the show and second, Kumiko's VA never said "it's a phase", or implied that will never happen, she said: http://osterreik.tumblr.com/post/123344044909/tomoyo-kurosawa-on-kumiko-and-reinas while obviously trying to be neutral. I understand that people need to not get their hopes up since it's an anime show based on a novel with a straight ending, but at least this people watched Hibike and know why they hold onto the possibility.

And fans in japan like Kumiko x Reina more so who knows.

Fans may like it, but that doesn't mean that they can influence it. At least it's very unlikely that it happens in Japan rather than in the west.

I will be happy if there's any Asuka x Kaori scenes, apparently they're closer in the novels and the anime underplayed that.
Edit: There will probably be more yuri subtext with Nozomi x Mizore than with Reina x Kumiko.

Yuri goggles are useless in this case, sure we want them together, but we can't be in denial about the fact that KyoAni does a lot of bait, the girls are straight and the light novel is as gay as the anime and still end in het, yuri won't happen, those who believe otherwise will only get hurt and I will love all delicious tears that will come from that.

As a yuri fan I have come to accept heartbreak and even expect it. That it why I will watch everything to do with euphonium. Knowing that there will be a het ending and still hoping for the yuri ending.

I will read all of them and replace the ending if its bad with the fan made ending. ReinaXKumiko will happen regardless of original material. No one can stop the yuri train.

Of course! even after they spoiled the novel, I'm pretty excited ... Is not like the yuri teasing was the only reason to enjoy the anime, kyoany makes good stuff.

This guy(?) gets it. I don't have high hopes for KumiRei end, but they're not gonna go het end either, not after intentionally shoving it in the audience's face. They know who they're trying to catching with all the subtext, false advertising would only hurt themselves, I mean look at these.

False advertisement is a common happening in anime and manga. Are you all people a bit too wishful? :3

I think they misunderstand shippers. They think we like pairing people up so they give us shipping fodder. How I view is that we have to ship because they won't pair them up for us lol.
