I mean, watching the super strong subtext knowing that's going to end being het is like... "Oh my God! Why they don't make it yuri, works MUCH better, just looks at that chemistry for God's sake!!!"

That's the thing. This is fandom, for crying out loud! Non-canon shipping is what we do! So the ending is het? Who cares! We'll ship the girls anyway, and read doujins and write fanfics and distribute fanart about them getting together for real and that's fine!

I don't follow the series myself, but I do support the people what like it, for whatever reason.

I will not negate that having canon backing your OTP is really really nice. But it's not a requeriment.
An insignificant thing like canon will not get in the way of a good ship!!

But seriously, I understand well that. I'm a rabid Kigo shipper after all.

It's all about Ichiko x Momoji.

By the way, according to MAL, both Reina and Kumiko are main characters while Suichi is supporting so there's probably a lot of subtext. And if they keep the same pace as in the first season, as in one novel per season, there is a definite chance for another open ending, since as far as I know, the Kumiko romance in the novels really starts with book 3. Don't know how things are with Taki though.

What do you think if I come to the movie crowd and tell them that "Hey according to the novel, Tyrion/ Arya/ Jon Snow will die next season btw. Just want to let you all knew so you guys won't have heartbreak later" (it's spoiler-free, didn't read the novel so have no idea who will die and who will not).

What do you think will be the reaction in that case? "Oh, thank you very much for spoiling that on me. Now I won't have to be so emotionally invested on them. Teehee" ?

And that remind me on how that one guy (Milo?) was asked why and why did he do such things. And he said "well, because it's simply fun to tease sensitive people". I really suspected that the case here. Because the most sensitive shippers are probably the one who tried to soldier on before coming into a losing battle. And rubbing on about how there is no chance of them to win, is the easiest way to throw themselves off.

I love your passion. Lol.

Regardless we will ship who we see fit. Everyone has the right. Suichi deserves his ship too. I'm not personally a big fan of him because I ship Kumiko and Reina, but I'm not going to dump on someone else's ship. That being said, I look forward to getting to know Suichi more in the next season, as well many of the other characters like Kumiko's sister. (And she's super cute, she deserves more screen time!)

I'll have fun even if Het end happens, I just think we have room to be hopeful with the changes they made to the show. It's ok to be cautious without being a downer, no need to be too serious about it.
