I feel like you switched between animes somewhere in the middle there. I have not the slightest idea who Tanaka or Majime are. There wasn't a single annoying character yet.

Understood. I can only take so much subtext per season, so I limit myself on what I watch. Though this time it was actually hard to keep up my 3 anime quota. There isn't much interesting stuff out.

I am really starting to love that anime. It's really fresh for CGDCT somehow and the jokes genuinly land.
The subtext is really subtle right now, but I actually do see some development between Momo and Shamiko (yes I will forever use that nickname). I can't remember the line, but one really struck me as "There is no straight way to explain that".

She certainly wasn't able to be "straight" with Shamiko when she was asked why she was so interested in her... One thing I think so funny is how Shamiko is strangely sharp but very ADHD. She asks questions that cut to the heart of it, but then is easily put off.

Also fun to see Momo get embarrassed about her Magical Girl past and her cooking. The Physical Girl is showing her cute side a lot more.

I think Shamiko is going to end up more like a magical girl than any sort of demon by the end of it. She calls on the power of friendship to release her magic - seriously, what's more cliche "magical girl" than that?

She seems to be more magical girl like than the actual MGs in this universe. Because according to Momo they are all violent and don't ask questions.

I have a feeling her father might have been from the light clan/magical girl side of things, so she has both powers inside her. Just...well.. useless, because she is so weak.

The emo parts of ep 10,11 and 12 almost ruin that show for me (no one wants to see a hour of a sad girl complaining) but I'm very happy to get a s2!

But I recommend reading it trying to ignore what most of the MC (Tanaka) is saying or doing... she manages to get pretty annoying sometimes.

GioGio finale was awesome! Dio pose in the OP was icing in the cake.

How's the yuri meter this season? Hot? Cold? Bit warm? I haven't watched any of the currently ongoing shows yet because...time, I'm curious.

Symphogear will have the most awaited Yuri ending ever! I just know it <3

I must say DavidPro, not giving Giorno his manga color scheme at the end there was a lost golden opportunity.
Still, for what they had to work with (the weakest ending in Jojo), they did amazing work.

Anyway, good for them! specially for Sakura that has enough charm to carry the whole series herself, she also speak fluent English which is super rare in an idol.

Mio-I mean-Lala is a treasure. Hikaru x Lala is probably going to be the main ship heh ship. The next 2 are apparently the sun and the moon soo...who knows? Maybe they'll get those moments.

Hey I hope it's not too weird to pull a comment from months ago but, I just found there was this anime thread so I was procrastinating while cheaking the most recent pages, and saw this post, and just wanted to say that I am loving the Star Twinkle so far! Especially Lala~

Which for me is a bonus when watching Machikado since Shimako and Lala are voiced by the same VA, Konomi Kohara, and I always enjoy hearing Voice actors I like in other roles, same for Momo's VA, Akari Kitō, who did Noa and Aru from Wataten and Boochi~

(I also found it amusing that one role she is a magical girl while in the other she a "devil girl" with the mission to kill a one lol but in both cases I am shipping them with the pinky magical girl ^^)

Edit: I just wish they'd adapt Sekai de Ichiban Oppai ga Suki, Hino-san no Baka or Bright and Cheery Amnesia, or do a remake of Classroom of the Elite(since they fucked up a really really great light novel story) or make a second season but change the biased directors and I'd be fine for a few years.

I personally like to see Shinmai Shimai no Futari Gohan get animated.

Oh! I would like anime adaptation for those three, but most definetly would like an anime for Shinmai Shimai!

I didn't think there would be any yuri this season. but I am happy to see I was wrong. Wasteful Days of High School Girls appears to have multiple LGBT characters and in this last episode, a narrowly avoided kiss between Lily and the school's tomboy "prince."

Although it's a bit early to know for sure, O Maidens of the Savage season has a character showing the early signs of being into girls rather than boys and it is an excellent coming of age series regardless of if it ever goes the yuri route.

Machikado Mazoku also toys a bit with some minor subtext between Momo and the MC. Momo seems to be very weirdly and cutely fixated on the spacey fledgling demon girl.

I've actually had the opposite experience? Machikado Mazoku, Granbelm, and Symphogear have all been much lighter on the yuri elements than I'd expected. I mean, they're good, and there's some yuri there, just... not what I'd been anticipating

Machikado is pretty ok on the yuri and for Granbelm well, the pathof the episode don't give much time to this kind of extend. I hope we had more near the end given Mangetsu will probably go Berserker and will been needed to be stopped, probably by Shingetsu (or ERNNNNESSSSTTTTAAAAA according to Anna)

That's the one good thing about being a pessimist. You are either right or pleasantly surprised. Since I expected absolutely nothing this season what little yuri we got was a fun bonus for me.

DId i need to watch all seasons of Symphogear to understand the 5th one and what did i must know before watching all seasons ?
