this anothogy is great because the first 3 are like quite historical with it being like 1870s then 1920, and i think 3 is around the 1960s from vibes from the raws then you get the the 4th and its like bang its the 2000s

Yeah the Showa era was absurdly long. A Showa chapter could just as easily be building up to World War II or the 1980s.

Both happy times as well as horrible tragedies, but all things considered a rather lovely chapter eventually showing a lot of optimism for the future (and beyond).

This one is amazing, I liked it a lot.

This is probably the least depressing oneshot Ive read despite tragedy being tagged. It's been written in such a hopeful manner that I forgot about the sad stuff for a bit

it really does stick with you forever

it's a very different kind of tragedy than this combo of tags, and particular setting in time normally gives us and I like it!

For once it's not about having lived a life unsatisfied only to see what was missing by the time you've got grandchildren and your husband keels over. It's just explicitly about a woman who spent her life the best she could because spending it any other way would have been a disservice to the one she loved.
