It was removed due to... drama, shall we say. This is a new translation without the baggage(presumably the reason for thew new thread).

I'm glad it's been brought back up; it's a good series and I'm looking forward to rereading(and hopefully completing) it.

I like drama, especially the kind you see in theaters... although somehow I don't think that's the kind of drama you're talking about. Cover looks interesting, but it's late so I'll have to check it out tomorrow.

Tercios incidentally looked something like this, circa 1583:

"Living fortress" would not be too inaccurate a description. Eventually eclipsed by and phased out in favor of shallower, more linear formations as firearm technology matured and firepower more and more contributed the main striking power of the infantry (the invention of the bayonet obsoleting the pike didn't help).

It really is sad that this eventually got the axe, the battle scenes here really deserve to be seen in animation.

The action scenes are awful. Sometimes it was hard to know what was happening.

They honestly throught this was going to sell? Ecchi and yuri can only get you so fair.

Naruto and Bleach do not represent the entire action genre. The more detailed the art the more difficult it becomes to follow.

Also this uses a lot of dark backgrounds as opposed to Naruto & Bleach's white.

you know. idec as long as its yuri ill consume that shit up as long as its not blindingly bad. if its good enough to keep me reading ill keep reading and get enjoyment out of it either way.

Lily Marble would be a great story if could use the "unused" pages of ... this, 40/30 pages for this, really, writer can't decide if artist should draw ecchi or action, can't be competent on any, let alone the story ...

I don't know what Lily Marble had to do with this. Both mangas aren't even published by the same publisher, neither does the artist or the writer work on Lily Marble. Hell, Mermaids Lovers probably even end up being discontinued before Lily Marble started.

Also it assumes that given those 40/30 pages, author of Lily Marble would actually put them to good use and not try to fill them with whatever they want losing focus and making story worse.

This whole topic strikes me as a remarkably absurd and pointless non sequitur out of not so much the left field but the next continent over. :|

There is tons of author who would have use it correctly plus Lily Marble chapters always had 13 pages.

I just wanted to point that saying "if this story had more pages, it would be even greater" is a huge assumption. Sometimes limitations are exactly the reason something is great and given more space and freedom can ruin projects.
