About chapter 16; I don’t really mind the use of mild violence for comedy or anything, but it just seems a bit off when Minami’s backstory involves a really abusive friends and parents.
I see, little sis is about to take up the family tradition of delinquent taming
Minami seemed to be past needing to be tamed when Iori met her. I got the feeling she already wanted out, she just needed someone to give her a place to go, both physically, and emotionally.
First time Shizuku and Saori actually converse face to face and they already have a healthier relationship than either has/had with their respective halves of the main couple. :|
The thing about Japanese smokers is that unlike the West, where you got cigarettes everywhere, since people just casually flick them wherever, they actually clean up.
Even the delinquents. ^^
... although they still smell. Bleh. Not used to it anymore, after all the smoking bans here.
You know, the writing in this series is pretty uneven (I get a strong impression Mikanuji at several points didn't quite know where to go with the story) but this is definitely one of the better chapters already on account of how much it manages to say about the characters between the lines in just four pages.
I did not see that twist coming. I probably should have but whatever I think it's cool.
Also, Minami is even younger than I thought. I figured she was out of school at least. Well, clearly she's out since she doesn't go anymore but you all know what I mean.
