Meh, it just how things are...It very simple, people (Even or 'ESPECIALLY' young stupid kids) like to or even love to tear people down and make fun of them for being different, weird or even pretty/beautiful because they are stupid or to just to make themselves feel better about themselves...I might had lived in a nice decent high school experience (Met many decent people, excluding very rude jerks) but that doesn't mean I haven't seen the movies about highschool life and drama plus hearing all the terrible news about high school bullying over stupid sh*t XD

You might think that sounds misanthropic of me but I like to think that is just how reality is like for 50-60% of humanity sadly :)

I'm not sure if the whole "onii-chan" thing is that common. I wouldn't say that's the main attribute of sexy cute, as sexy cute can be a large variety of cute flavors and factors. It could simply be a woman that's thought of as sexy even though she's dressing in a way that's simply cute according to some cultures. For that reason I wouldn't say sexy cute is primarily or exclusively a "gooner otaku" thing either. More simply that cute has more overlap with sexy in some cultures than others.

I was just thinking of what to tell about the protagonist based on this page that says "she has a lewd voice,and that she sounds cutesy and high-pitched" .

So obviously my thoughts are
"Of course not! Because in my world(yours too probably?) that a cute sound doesn't equate to sexy lewd voice."
(Though.. though,in their world or culture, the sound is probably erotic to them..?I don't know. I'm just hmm.. making baseless assumption on this manga)

The onii-chan voice is a parody, it’s not exactly like that, I was using it as an example because it’s a widespread meme but again, if you watch japanese porn, high pitch voices are considered sexy but also cute (see idols) so it depends, they are teasing her to make her feel bad. Her situation is similar to bullies calling kids with curly hair “pubic hair”

Hinata's main conflict, keeping Yuzuki alive, is dependent on Yuzuki's conflict, rebuilding her self-esteem. I really don't understand reading a story when not buying the central premise or the protagonist, but you do you.

This is kind of a reverse Long-Awaited Feelings so I'm interested in how Yuzuki will continue going about rebuilding her sense of self before it's too late.

Agreed on the long-awaited feelings vibe, expect this one takes place in high school instead of show business. And here, the girls actually help each other instead of one hiding everything from her girl.

hinata reminds me of hibiki from hello melancholic even down to her designed I honestly feel like hibiki is a huge inspiration for her character. Pretty musician barges into girls life and knocks down the walls she's built up around her and forces her to play music w her, also just her overall vibes feel the same (this is a great thing for the record i adore hello melancholic)
