This is, without a doubt, one of the oneshots I've ever read.

Don't really care for edgy stuff, but I dig some of the perspectives here. Everything looks well-framed, to put it bluntly.

Note: "Marika", in Japanese 茉莉花, is the name of the Arabian Jasmine, a white flower.

Her name contains the kanji for "flower".

This got interesting (and depressing) real fast, I loved it!
I really enjoy one-shots like this because it feels like the author knows they only have a few pages to make an impression and they definitely do. Whether it’s dark or downright uncomfortable, it always leaves a lasting mark. which is most certainly interesting that's for sure.

I really love the art style, Marika hair especially, also love when a character has sex or sexual intimacy as a form of selfharm. But the story is quite weak? Edgy is not the word, Marika dialogues feel pretentious or cliche Idk how to say it

I don't think the story is weak, more just simple/straightforward. Marika being a teenage edgelord is I think deliberate; not only does it fit with what she ends up doing, but it's also precisely what draws Yuina to her. Yuina's experiences have taught her that the world is an empty, meaningless place, and so Marika's ultra-cynicism reads to her as honesty.

While I agree the art is the main draw to this oneshot, not just the quality itself but also the paneling, pacing, and overall usage of the art to tell the story and convey emotion, I think the characters are pretty interesting too. Definitely one of the better oneshots I've seen in a while.

It looks like Carrie's mom didn't die. She just moved to japan and had another daughter.

So... Where should we go.
I'm guessing somewhere that Japan doesn't have an extradition treaty with.

Best ending

This one-shot is honestly really sweet more than anything IMO. Yuina was in a desperate position, dealing with some of the most terrifying shit, but Marika is just tender throughout the entire thing. She bites Yuina once, but that's for smexy reasons so its A OK. Otheriwse, Marika is probably just sociopathic, like, clinically. She clearly recognizes how much Yuina hurts, but instead of emotionally mirroring anything, just strictly wanted to cut to getting her out of that bullshit. I like these blorbos :3

I know what the story is trying to do with Yuina and Marika, and Yuina being the flower, etc. I am talking about how the story unfold, I know it’s a one-shot but It feels like it's divided into acts, I think without the scene where Marika tells Yuina to elope it would feel less like that because the plot twist didn’t feel like a plot twist at all.
Her way of talking being deliberate or not doesn’t matter, I mean that it’s feels like she is reading a script instead of having a conversation with Marika, again idk how to explain it well.

Feel the need to add but I liked it beyond the art style.
