I think the point is that biologically it's incest no question, so the tag is accurate. Legality is obviously transient, In Japan (and most of western Europe) first cousins incest is perfectly legal so that's not a problem here.

The definition of incest varies between cultures, so I'm assuming they're from a culture where liking your cousin isn't incest. It's all just social conventions, really.

A lot of people, e.g. many modern Americans, are squicked out by first cousin relationships even though it's legal.

OTOH for many societies, including 1800s England, it wasn't considered incest at all, just normal or even desirable. It's not like sibling or parent-child incest which are almost universal taboos, especially outside royal families with pretensions of divinity (and maybe a habit of not raising siblings in the same household.)

Arguably the tag should be used for relationships the characters consider incestuous and taboo. Or we should have multiple incest tags, one for the story perspective and one for viewers who want to avoid some definition or another of incest.

Emma is way more mature than Uika. Uika is basically a big sad puppy following Saki around like she's her owner. Saki used to be like Suzu, but she tends to be a lot more hardass. Elaborating any more would be massive spoilers, so I'd say just watch Ave Mujica because it's a masterpiece. Of course, if you do you should watch MyGo first, because AveMuji is actually its sequel. It's also amazing.

Oh no...

I'm starting to get real sick of this incestbaiting. Third or fourth series now where this kind of thing has happened. I like most of those series anyway, but it's frustrating when I'm specifically following a tag for that tag's content, but nearly everything in it is either smut (which has its place, but I want romance dammit) or an unrequited relationship used just as background setup for one half of the actual main couple.

That whining aside, though, this seems like a solid enough start. I'm also kinda tired of Class S-derived stuff, but eh, not enough to dismiss this just for that.

There's no "biological definition" of incest, because that's a social concept that only applies to human. Biologically there's only "inbreeding", and even speaking of that, there's no clear definition of how close a genetic distance is count as "close".
