Wow, I was about to slap myself silly for missing such a gem, but it seems it's only been uploaded yesterday. Definitely gonna watch this one... The themes remind me of PDL's historical works, in the best possible sense.

It's a manhua that isn't scared to show girls kissing

And it's a (barely) cultivation series that somehow does not suck.

Weixi's flashback at the start of chapter 12 is nagging at me, because it implies that Lu Weixi and Su You are cousins: in the flashback, Weixi is addressed as "Princess" and calls Zhu Wunchang (the usurper emperor) "father", meaning that she is his daughter (see also the rest of their family tree). Also, there is a strong implication that Weixi doesn't actually see the future, but rather that the magical cat has given her power to rewind time every time Su You gets herself killed, allowing her to explore different timelines (i.e. she's been Homura'd). Furthermore, it seems to me that every time she awakes with a start from a "nightmare", it's actually her consciousness returning to the past after another bad ending.

Not necessarily. I don't recall whether her family has been brought up since but she could just as well be just the Empress's daughter and got brought into court when Zhu Wunchang married her mother. Could be either really

That is possible, but from what I have read about dynastic politics in Imperial China, very unlikely. Zhu Wuchang does not strike me as a man who'd marry for love, and I do not see any other reason why an ambitious second-in-line-for-the-throne would marry a woman who has another man's child and then adopt said child, too.

Plus, Weixi and Wuchang are the only characters with blond hair, which seems highly uncommon in this setting.

Do we maybe need a Wuxia tag? I think it'd be more descriptive than simply labelling this kind of manhua as Supernatural.

Also I can't have enough of Su You's smug face. She's such a devilish cutie.

This was on Dynasty the whole time and I didn’t even notice! All the other sites only have about three chapters, but Dynasty has the whole thing. ^_^

Oops. My ass read the discussion before reaching that part and then forgot about it.

Regardless I am really liking it so far. The author seems very keen with symbolism, language use, and history so it’s such a treat to read!

Also I really love the teacher yuri, I had a feeling it was going to be the case but it’s so cute. The way it was framed as the teacher would be able to convince shihao out using her words but it seems like she was able to change her mood through other means ;)
