Schools in USA most with dorms have similar rules for the first year undergraduate university students that most require to be on campus, though a few do not require this due to no campus dorms with some cases of being online as the school is very far away/online only.

^Or to keep it in the same units, about 800,000kph. And our galaxy is also estimated to be moving in respect to the local group at similar or a bit faster speeds. But since everything is within our same reference frame at each scale it doesnt matter to us one bit beyond being interesting/cool.
Well- some of it matters if you want to launch a probe - but ive never needed to so far lol.
