As it turns out, getting over your lover dying and being ready to date again usually takes quite some time, if it happens at all.

I like it! Marrying a fox deity is an interesting way to move on, in the end she would meet her fiancée in the afterlife.

Ginko purposely went to Yuki because she had made that deal with Aoi beforehand.

That's pretty harsh to bind her forever to a dead person. She won't be able to love anyone else now. Because she will know Yuki watches her from above.

Usually the theme with death was quite depressing (remembered reading the one who her fiancée passed away before they could get married, and then she had to imagine her still alive for that one little night..)

This one is actually on a positive note..
The deity came to help her out, and helped her married her lover who happened to pass away
