Akiba Maid Wars really became an absolute sleeper hit of this season. Somehow it actually succeeded in not only walking the line between hardboiled mafia drama and wacky maid café hijinks, it also manages to somehow play both these themes straight and parody them at the same time.

Hello, you beautiful people up here. I created this acc for a few reasons, I really enjoy spending my time here, reading manga and all, but anime doesn't really give us much this season, or any season :(

Seiyuu Radio https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2022-12-21/seiyu-radio-no-ura-omote-light-novel-series-gets-tv-anime/.193221 but I dropped the manga when the toxic parts of idol industry were taking over and I felt like it wasn't going to be yuri but bait and switch, of course, I don't know how it is now, maybe it was actually yuri after all! but who knows.

DIY is over too in a way that doesn't leave much room for season 2, but that's good, they told a good story and gave us everything we wanted and they totally knew that what we really wanted was the 2 lead together and being honest for once! wow Purin really is roommate material, huh? that was a good subtext... So much skinship.

I wasn't expecting Joboko to leave just like that, I guess I forgot it was supposed to be just one year? or half a year idk, they could've turned that into solid drama for 2 o r 3 episodes but they focused on the builds, that's good too.

It was really cuuuuuute, one of my favorites this season. Silly Miku really went all tsundere bc airhead Serufu on a whim said "no need to take care of me anymore, i'm in middleschool now!" and she didn't like that bc taking care of her makes her happy xD absolute gay disaster

And let's not forget her also getting all possessive over the wind chime she made being Serufu's treasure and insisting she'd keep holding on to it, with the two of them making a new one for the tree house instead of fulfilling the old (and forgotten by Serufu) promise to hang that one there.

Bocchi the Rock and Chainsaw Man are wonderful. As shit as 2022 has been, weekly anime experiences like AoT, CSM and Bocchi have been great highlights.

Well, the exact opposite of G-Witch ruining Xmas happen: Episode 11 had super-cute MioSule scenes, on top of just generally being a very good episode

MagiRevo was better than I expected, though its early to judge.

i'm so curious how they're gonna do MagiRevo. Story-wise the end of Volume 3 of the manga seems like the perfect point for a season finale but Tilty being featured in the first episode suggests they'll put in stuff past that bc she doesn't appear until vol.4. That seems like a lot to cover for a single cour though.

Mmh i guess it wouldn't be by LN adaption standards. I don't really read those so it's hard to me to compare in terms of volumes vs episodes

5-6 volumes is pretty typical for manga adaptations...

Typically LN adaptations take 2 - 4 volumes depending on the pacing. MagiRevo will probably go for three since Volume 3's ending would work perfectly as an anime ending... which is kind of sad because Volume 3's ending is shit... But maybe the anime will make it better...?

MagiRevo will be airing subbed on Crunchyroll. Waited long enough to announce that one, and they just slid it in with zero fanfare

I saw the pre air and it's AWESOME (MagiRevo).... I skipped the whole fake out during the party of course, I don't need to see that again.

I also saw the onii san is done for (pre air too), is really good and so nicely animated too but is clearly aimed to lolicon fans so be aware of the "fanservice" it provides, I have one question does she really changes to the point that she starts liking boys now? because that's hinted in the very first episode but who knows, I would prefer if she doesn't... or he doesn't, whatever fits better now
