Yeah, but they had food and shelter, since the villagers have taken them in. Plus not all land mines are buried. If they are visible, they are sometimes used to make people avoid places. But if there's snow you won't be able to see the ones that are not buried.

This lingered in "most popular" enough that I checked it out... and I don't know if I would agree that this is well written, feels like a somewhat clunky mix of themes (and I kinda agree digging up the skull to play pretend is morbidly funny in a way)... but I dunno, I guess I can appreciate this for trying something different, and not forcing some fucked up twist ending while at it, which would only make it worse.

Placing the setting into the realm of fantasy can put a bit of extra distance between the story and similar situations in real life. And I guess the artist may have simply wanted to draw elves...

once again, absolutely rare for this kind of NSFW work to have such well-written development and characterization, specifically about Daena. it's been so long since i've encountered a work that made me feel like the first time i've ever read that certain MiMo fanfic from AO3 a few years back. it was a rollercoaster ride but i enjoyed it a lot. plus hot elves too!
