The Medusa definitely wants a best friend/semi-romantic thing. She's a little jealous of her new friend having other friends. So subtext for her is reasonable.

I think the labels for Ungaikyou (spirit-holding mirror-dwelling girl) and Kyourinrin (dragonlike youkai) got switched somehow in the cast list of August 8.

I may have a certain bias towards Medusa related sapphic stories, but what an endearing little gem this turned out to be. Fables and mythological beings in a contemporary Japanese high school setting sounds like an old lyre, but in truth execution is all the matters. If it makes me smile it is a success.
