Yeah that's why I'm guessing that she got pushed down in the right panel, but I still find it pretty uncomfortable since from the gf's pov the bride seems to be sitting near the edge, so pushing her down would make it so her head isn't lying on top of something, she'd literally be dangling off the mats lol.
Also, the seminal yuri novel, "Two Virgins in the Attic" was also published as early as 1919. This novel dared to suggest that two women could go on in a relationship even after high school... And the author (Nobuko Yoshiya) herself did too. She lived together with her lov... "friend" for a long time.
^While there's still much to be done, it's impressive how far we've come. With how it's now pretty common for Yuri media to at least have an epilogue time skip that confirm their relationship continues into adulthood, one popular series that did this is Bloom Into You. There's also various adult life series where the couple live together, like "The Two of Them Are Pretty Much Like This". So I feel like the future is at least hopeful, especially with some of the news and discussions I've seen online about real life LGBTQ+ movements in Japan.
