God I love Mask and Kaoru’s dynamic so much. Somehow the author took two of the most different characters possible and intersected them in such a cool and refreshing way. I really hope they get together, or at least find each other a fixture in each of their lives.

The womanizing super beauty is also really good at reading people and understanding what to say in order to make them understand their own faults, Kaoru is and interesting character indeed

I definitely find their dynamic interesting.

Kaoru is easily the most psychologically abnormal member of the cast, as well as probably the most socially gifted and the keenest observer of people. Mayoi is pretty much the most full-fledged example of the classic "tormented artist" archetype, unhealthy obsessions and all, and also the one most capable and willing of no-selling Kaoru's charms (among those the latter has decided to exert them on natch).

Their mutual fascination - wide-open and tsunderish respectively - makes for some extremely interesting dynamics and interactions.

I have never understood the love Japan has for the word Amigo/a.

Kishi is still very on board on ecchi works, so its not that they "out grew that".

One would think you’d find more Spanish in Japanese stuff since it uses the same vowels and is therefore easier to pronounce. Its probably just that English is more recognizable/widespread. I could say something similar about the spanglish I would hear in telenovelas.

Only Bleach really comes to mind. Cazador de la Bruja to a lesser extent.

And "ドトン ドトン" (doton doton) is obviously the sound the train makes, so it doesn't make sense to translate it as "clamoring."

Not strange at all, all the chapters together, the admiration for each others and also they have their own cover art together in vol 10 just like all the other prominent canon pairs
