Improving yourself, health and mind with self care, better food, hygiene. Learning and trying new things that catches your attention, lots of things are actually really easy if you just try!
To improve your compassion and heart, try to put yourself on the other's shoes, do not waste time being mad or hating someone or something, at the end you'll gain nothing out of it.

And read this manga, this is the most important step: https://mangadex.org/title/35217/ikoku-nikki gain wisdom +100 easy

It's really light fun, only with a lot of sex (and no taboos).
Looking at this relationship chart should make it downright obvious:

Hey Ke_Zukulenzia, I'm sorry but given the content I had to remove those images from the thread. You're perfectly welcome to continue discussing it, but if that case presents itself, I believe one of the appropriately subversive threads would be best.

How can someone become a better person?

Serenata's got some good tips. I think the first step would be determining what it means to be a "better person." Personally, I think cultivating empathy within yourself is helpful no matter who you are. A useful "how" might be to broaden the range of people you interact with, or to develop a habit of reflection, upon your own thoughts and the outward expression of others.

Personally, I've noticed that developing empathy for strangers helped me become a slightly better person. Also being less harsh with yourself and noticing the qualities you already have might help cultivate them.

One of my photos was featured on Flickr Explore \o/ It's a new feeling watching the likes pour in. Of course it had to happen to an old photo I uploaded without thinking... Can't link to it as it's under my real name though.

Eh, just avoid the pictures and chapters tagged NSFW and/or insane amounts of handholding and you should be fine.

Head of lesbian club: How did your parents express their support and tell you that you were valid?
Lesbian A: My Dad brought me a rainbow coloured T-shirt on the first day of Pride.
Lesbian B: My Mom walked in on me kissing my girlfriend, gave us a thumbs-up, and gracefully backed out.
Lesbian C: I found manga about girls making out on my father's laptop and knew this house was blessed.

On a more serious note, I hope the situation didn't get too awkward.

Actually, it was just a goof on the comment about wanting a mountain bike for Christmas since that was so very random, even for this thread.

Ah, I didn't see that one and figured the whole thing actually happened irl. Which would've been hilarious, if rather dicey to explain your way out of.

I found some porn on my dad's PC once, but it was pretty tame compared with the kind of things I like, so I never broached the subject with him.

Thanks Serenata, OrangePekoe, and TB. Those tips are pretty helpful.

I try to empathize with people and reflect on their perspective and feelings (which is why I also want to be a writer eventually because it is interesting thinking from other people's perspectives and understanding their thoughts and reasoning).

Though tbh, sometimes it's hard to empathize with people who antagonize you without reason and keep on harassing you without trying to empathize with you or realizing what they are doing is hurtful or callous.

And I tend to overthink about past events too much, even if they are little minor things, and I end up just spiraling into a rabbit hole of anxiety and self-loathing, just repeating those scenarios in my head and thinking about all the ways I could have tried to change it. Although, whenever this happens now, I can talk with close people about my feelings instead of bottling it up, which helps, or if there's no one I can talk to I just try to distract myself with something else.

Also being less harsh with yourself and noticing the qualities you already have might help cultivate them.

I'll definitely try to do this. I think I obsess about the negatives that I forget to see the positives about myself.

Ikoku Nikki sounds like an interesting manga. I read the first two chapters. I really like it so far. I definitely need that wisdom gain so I'll read more XD. And I really like the art, especially this scene:

Gee, when I was a kid my parents had ... bookshelves. Rather educational bookshelves. Nothing password protected there.

One time my brother got caught on pornhub when he was twelve(according to him), got his door taken down immediately and I was known as that one guy's sister for a couple of weeks.

Also, one time I left my laptop with two kids(this was in the bunkhouse at our cabin which was kinda like my room at the time, they were in there since they wanted to watch tv), they were about 7 and 9 so I thought it was fine and went to go roast marshmallows with my friend for an hour or two. I came back to see my laptop opened from the corner of my eye so I thought they were playing coolmathgames or something, but it was opened to a porn website, I screamed so loud lol.

Your brother seems like a ... well, let's just keep that as a funny memory xD I once worked on a cybercafe, there were private rooms too, some guys would come and watch those sites like maniacs, of course it would be creepy and the computer would end up with virus and stuff.

Their eyes were different... like they were lost, people say "don't judge a person by appearance" but you know, sometimes you can tell when someone is up to no good.

@bubbleteabird you're an aspiring writer? that's awesome, then yeah I hope you enjoy that manga! it really changed my perspective of some things and I learned to accept some parts of myself too.

This is 100% a thing. I've seen a lot of horny folks with sex on the mind who ogle random strangers with their jaws wide open and straight-up forget to be discreet or look away. It's like they've watched so much porn that they've forgotten how to differentiate real individuals from actors behind a screen. Be funny if it wasn't so creepy. Though at least it makes 'em easy to detect and avoid.

Edit: On second thought, there's also a ton of people with different standards of behavior, or folks who have difficulties picking up on social cues. Quite often, they get called out for being perverts even if they just happened to be thinking about other stuff or forget to look at an appropriately neutral zone. There was this dude in my college who was visually impaired + neurodivergent, and he often had to squint at people for a while to get an idea of their faces. This, coupled with the fact that his natural expression was a wide-toothed smile (probably to ease the tension and awkwardness that a lot of people felt while interacting with him), led to a lot of people feeling uncomfortable or frightened when he approached them for help, or just to chat. As a result, people started to give him a wide berth, and he ended up quite lonely despite being fairly good-natured. So maybe 'everyone who stares at you for prolonged periods is a stalker' might not be such a good rule of thumb. Guess we just need to handle it case-by-case.

A teacher at my mom's school got fired after forgetting to disconnect from the projector before surfing porn.

Personally, I would have fired IT for not blocking access in the first place. (I mean, I'm even blocked from Dynasty via the hospital WiFi. But then, I forget that we have that kind of content on here.)

Maybe a health teacher can get by with accidentally showing porn to the class by claiming that it was to teach students about sex ed (ex: "It was for educational purposes")?

My niece once surprised me by coming in for a hug when I was tucked into the corner minding my own business on the main page. Sure enough, her eyes got stuck on the quite lewd Sweet Lips cover, at the time the featured chapter. She was like 8. Now she's a teenager and she's hella gay. I guess actions really do have consequences...

Well, empathy is good and all but sometimes it might be best to put people like that out of your mind, and try to avoid them when you can. Often easier said than done.

Also being less harsh with yourself and noticing the qualities you already have might help cultivate them.

I'll definitely try to do this. I think I obsess about the negatives that I forget to see the positives about myself.

Hey, you made it this far, that must mean you're doing pretty good! I don't really know how to, but it's always worth reminding yourself of all the good you are.

Oh, is that why the latest episode of Horned Owl and Bat still doesn't have English subs? Goddammit
