Really looking forward to this new series, Namori can do no wrong.

I came to ask what this was a prequel to because i didnt recognise any yuru yuri characters - so its the teachers?

Seems kinda odd to do that, they have so little role in yuru yuri bar the one who blows stuff up.. In fact I dont even remember meeting others.

That said, I like namori's work so Im interested to see what she does with this. So far it seems its gonna be a more serious series not a comedy?

We did get a glimpse into a couple of those teacher's highschool life in YRYR 101; this page is especially great.
This booklet basically has the character profiles for all of them.

Needless to say, more Namori = more better.

Yuru yuri is a very dark sad series Kyouko drew to remember her friend Yui after her tragic death! It involves the main character Akari, dying Madoka-like and leading a harem of her schoolgirl classmates to Yuri Heaven. I'm pretty sure.

Yes, because the kanji of the names of the 4 sensei contain those kanji for those 4 directions.

it doesn't even have the yuri tag...
not like the main story is yuri anyway, just bait everywhere
