This is why I adore manga. And don't like amecomi.

If by "amecomi" you mean American comics, then I'm going to have to object. Both manga and comics are pretty darn diverse. Some American comics would have her turn into a superhero, but others get more philosophical or psychological and more than a few are basically slice of life, especially if you include web comics.

Similarly, manga is very diverse and while some of it would have using her abilities in daily life, others would turn her into a super hero. And by "would" I mean "have". There is literally a superhero in My Hero Aca that turns their limbs into tree branches.

You shouldn't be so quick to look down on entire mediums.
