Hm...very unexpected but also welcome. Now what are the odds that Rin likes Akashi? Regardless, lots of complicated emotions here and they were conveyed wonderfully. It's a shame that Shion can't physically be with either the girl she loves or the one that loves her, what with being dead, but at least she can still be with them in a way.

Oh yes, I've seen the first page of this one attached to the end of previous part on some sites and have been wondering when would the sequel be released and translated, and the suddenly it's already here. Gods bless you, esteemed scanlators.

And it's a happy ending, even. The dead gets to hear and convey what she didn't have the chance to, and the livings get their closure and move on.
This 2-part story is the first non-h original work of Hamao that I know of, and apparently they really can do such tidy writing (as opposed to their usual mindless porn). Pretty nice.

The design of Suou is a little ugly compared to the others, just because the plot says so but I don't understand how Shion fell in love with her
I'm not saying that she doesn't deserve to be loved because she's ugly, it's weird, they usually put pretty girls with pretty girls like Akashi

Big love for this sequel, and really love that we didn't go down the whole "talk to her through me" route. This was nice and very believable, even down to Shion not actually moving on the the afterlife. I would read a series of thissss for surre

Attraction is relative. Not everyone's ideal is just conventional beauty, and it's hardly the weirdest thing for a girl to be attracted to a girl that isn't pretty by mainstream standards.

As a personal example, while I prefer conventionally feminine styles for myself and I definitely don't hate dating pretty people, once I got over some issues and actually dated a proper butch she ended up being the partner I've had the most attraction to in a few ways, and even still seeing girls that dress like she did or have short dykey hair like hers it gets me blushing before I know what hit me.

When one of the main characters in a romance starts out being dead, the truly "happy ending" options are inherently limited.

I kinda feel a bit angry with Shion. She left Akashi just like that after the events of the previous chapter and Akashi even thought that she passed on to the afterlife. Could've atleast let her down before leaving.

All I'm saying is, Akashi deserves better. "Past" made me cry but now "Past+" really grinds my gears in the wrong way.

You're right "Past" has much more feels to it but it's kinda sad to know in "Past+" shows that Shion didn't really went to the afterlife and left Akashi hanging but nonetheless its a beautiful story
