Don't know if the shiver is because she wants to laugh or because she got even more excited, I feel bad for Asuka. I figured she would think Asuka was calling Mom for help like a little kid, thus the shiver as finding it funny in a cruel way or getting more excited 'cause of it, but then I remembered that when she asked who she likes Asuka went "huh why did I think of mom?", so she most likely figured out she's a mothercon, which basically makes this even more messed up if she wants to go through with it to take advantage of her emotional conflicts.

This story is such a guilty pleasure, it would be pretty messed up if it wasn't fiction, I'm glad it's not an autobiography or some shit, these would be pretty traumatic events to someone who was real I bet.

I used to think that theory about her mom abusing her was crazy, but now it looks like it could have some merit. 50/50 that was either a flashback or a fantasy.

Yeah that's a pretty good callback. Despite the confusion some have with the flashbacks, the author is rather consistent.
