I'm with you to an extent; slice of life doesn't really do much for me. I personally need some degree of tension to enjoy it, but I really do wish there were more tense romances with adults rather than most of then being fucking fifteen year olds. (Edit: Pun not intended, but it sells the point)

I love this one.
This is particularly suitable for a one-shot, and it feels SOL.
I'm going to look into Mita sensei's work and see if there are other similar works like this one.
