All we know about Arisa's family is that her mother taught her about "a girl's most important place" and that it has to be washed gently. She's also the one who contacted Mari when Arisa was in the hospital, and I think it's likely that she's known they're a couple for years. Mostly because there's no way Arisa hasn't bragged to her mom about her girlfriend.

That sounds about right. If Arisa was one of the leads in Hana ni Arashi she'd have proudly proclaimed the relationship to all and sundry before the narrator even got to the "it's a secret" part.
