The MC was soooo dense. That being said, the customer/her RL friend is too stubborn or embarrassed to come out and say that she's the same person, so.

Kind of a sad story, but it doesn't seem too hopeless for them to eventually come to their senses and start dating.

I suspected the twist but wasn't for sure until the end there.

Definitely seems like something whose premise comes from the write-what-you-know strategy. By which I mean the main character definitely feels closer to how the author presents herself and what she does for a living (designing and writing very character-driven stuff)

Yeah, that went about as expected. Wasn't entirely sure before the meeting, but the moment she mentioned cutting her hair, it was obvious she'd done so to match the avatar. Well, maybe she'll notice once she colors them accordingly as well. :D

It is no more or less "virtual" irrespective of the physical hardware it's running on.

Not as soul crushing as some of Nakatani Nio's more soul crushing works I guess.
