Eh, there's still traces of weird fantasy stuff in some modern Mira works. The art style is what throws me off the most- it's similar to their other works, but it has a sense of roughness to it that's quite different.
The part of the story I'm most intrigued by is the sword. I can make a guess as to the importance of the girl, but the sword seems rather... Disconnected from the other threads of the plot for some reason.
I mean, I've read enough Moorcock to distrust any blade that even mildly looks like it's got an eye on it's hilt, particularly ones that drain life.
