The art style in this is craaazy sarcastic on some panels and over the top, I'm not sure if its for comedic purposes but I find myself in stitches at how over dramatic some of the scenes play out. I agree with a few readers on here saying the pacing of it all is a bit out of whack

I can't get into this series, since I discovered that Ootori Manhiro is a guy. All I can think is: This reads like the fantasy of a teenage boy.

So if the author was a woman then suddenly it would be better and more acceptable? If Comiket has taught me anything, it's that women have fantasies just as weird and fucked up as men.
I can't even imagine what the reactions here would be if Mira was revealed to be a man, makes me wonder how many yuri authors pretend to be women just to avoid this kind of comment.

Anyway, I might be the only one, but I actually enjoy this manga, the art is pretty unique (though the proportions are a bit random) and it's like reading a story set in a different universe where our moral and logic doesn't apply.

I would much rather read a ecchi story writen by a woman. It feels like I'm sharing a fantacy with her, very sexy. While reading a ecchi story by a guy, feels kinda awkward, a little like watching porn with a room full of your friends.

Plus I find guys tend to write women too raunchy. Women can write sex too, but their work leans towards more subtle. I have always suspected Mira as being a guy.

I doubt Mira is a guy. She is pretty well documented as a woman in addition to the fact that her writing style is pretty feminine although that by itself is never a good indicator of the sex of the author. Some of the most horrifying, rape-filled, guro torture porn I have stumbled across was written by a woman and I have seen cute fuzzy yuri love stories written by men.

I know women can write some deprived stuff. Morinaga Milk, and Morishima Akiko have some pretty pornographic stories. Women's porn just seems to aim more towards the mental and the emotional. While men seem to get stuck on the physical. I really can't explain it well. It's more a feeling I get when I read the story. Sometimes I'm wrong, but most of the time I nail it.
The only bio I've seen on Mira, has gender listed as NA.

This doesn't make sense. It's a mess of stupid drama and pompous declarations of stupid girls. With an icing of hentai flavor.

And it's not even well drawn.

i cant help but to agree, which is a shame because I kinda like it but I mostly think its just dumb. I feel that its too crazy in logic.

I previously never quite understood people who would comment without having read the latest chapters, but I’m going to do it myself for the first, and I hope the last, time: this was the worst manga I’ve ever read.

Even the art is obnoxious. With the stupid looking head shapes and the gummy expressions and inconsistent style. It's like the mangaka puts just enough effort into it to make you annoyed he's polishing balls of shit.

Sakura would be the type of person to kill Lily so no one else can have her. She gave me strange vibes from the beginning. And Lily pls, we all know you ain’t a virgin after that incident with the school nurse

Nobody in this entire manga acts like a human being. I am about 80% sure the author has never met an actual woman, and am like 5% suspicious that he may actually be an alien trying to understand human civilization exclusively by reading yuri manga.

I agree, this is a terrible manga, it's like a horny adolescent boy's fantasy, of what goes on, at an all girls' boarding school.

I don't think this an adolescent boys fantasy it's be pretty much open at that point. Anyway this manga is weird and strange. I like it. It's like visiting a strange world for well...awhile judging by how much time passes in this manga. It's not realistic but in my opinion that's not a bad thing. I do like that the artist is a man. I mean yuri shouldn't be written only by women anyway. That would be so boring and stagnant. Well that's my opinion on this manga. I look forward to it ending.

Only since then... right? It was very prominent (again) that the author's definition of virginity is based on the state of one's hymen, and isn't that "one has never engaged in sexual intercourse."

At the very least, the MC behaved like a normal human, until she was brainwashed and assimilated into the borg.

Yeah, the author has made that quite clear. I personally don’t agree with the broken hymen = loss of virginity bs

I actually can't understand why women (or men btw) would write/draw these kind of manga , as a guy ( yes i'm a guy) i can't understand. Are these some kind of whim that they can't do in real life ?

While seaching for other manga of this author , my suspicion about the art style and the weird plot of this story were confirmed. So this is actually just a porn with a somewhat plot.

No it's worse than a porn. It's like someone took a really bad softcore porn, and edited it for television.

I'm not sure there is anything women can do with each other, that fits the clinical criteria for "losing their virginity".

You should try reading yaoi fanfiction. Written mostly as porn by women, for women. It will quickly cure you of this opinion.

No thanks. I'll take your word for it.
I've read some pretty steamy yuri written by woman. It's just as graphic as men's stories, but as a general guide line men take it over the top. I really can't explain it well. I just know it when I see. It may just be my imagination, fueled by gender stereotypes, though.

Yuri written by a man feels like a lie.

A) It's fiction.

B) At least some of the female artists we all know and love are possibly men writing under femenine pen names, so, y'know.

C) Human beings are, in rare cases, capable of empathizing and writing characters that are fundamentally different from themselves. There are almost certainly men who write good yuri and women who write good yaoi, and everything inbetween.

D) This author is not any of that. Oh my god this author is SO NOT any of that. I'm telling you: Space alien.
