Alternate History tag, perhaps? 1937 doesn't line up with the mention of air raids (the Nationalist air force lacked the pilots and materiel to operate effectively beyond their borders). Also, Japan/pseudo-Japan seems to already be on the ropes by the time the story begins, what with the schoolgirl suicide units and all.

Seconding what that other person said, this is what Kancolle should've been like instead (maybe in some alternate universe it is). Ironically the author also draws fanart of kancolle, but it's obvious their own original story is way better.
