This was really nice. The part at the end was so wholesome. I love summer for the weather and outdoors activites, but also hate summer because it's impossible for cuddles (unless you shell out for AC)!

Well usually that type of behavior would get on my nerves, but everyone reacts to things differently. MC strikes me as someone nonconfrontational and she probably had the thought of not wanting to make things awkward.

I think the more important thing to focus on is that at least one of them was able to start a conversation once they sensed something wrong and the other was willing to talk it out when confronted. The cases that really get on my nerves is when both parties don't bother to communicate and live off assumptions forever until it's too late.

Easier said than done. If you've ever had to confess to someone then you know that confessing requires a huge amount of courage. It's particularly bad when that someone is a close friend, because you know that whatever way this goes your relationship will never be the same again.

If it was me I think I'd have taken an indirect approach, like suggesting we kiss so she'll know if she's into it (this actually happened to me in the past, but I said no to that suggestion).

Easier said than done. If you've ever had to confess to someone then you know that confessing requires a huge amount of courage. It's particularly bad when that someone is a close friend, because you know that whatever way this goes your relationship will never be the same again.

I don't know. Confessing to my ex which was openly bisexual was pretty much one of the hardest things I've done. And we had only been close friends for a few months or so. Just the thought of throwing away what we had left me paralyzed in fear. In the end I was shot down after a half confession, and it hurt like hell (but somehow that worked out later. Idk, life is weird). But if it was like in the story, where the two of them had been best friends for years, I might never have gathered the courage to do it. I can relate to this situation, it's really tough to risk a close friendship with a confession.

I'm definitely with you there, but that doesn't make it any less hard. And there's a lot of other stuff to consider. "What if the moment isn't right?", for example. If you miss the right timing to confess your feelings you might just screw up.

Well, in my experience being in love clouds your judgement. Looking from the outside you can often tell who likes who, but it's a lot harder when it's you who likes someone else, and wants them to like you back. Also, stakes are higher if you mess up.
