I've always thought this, but until now I've never had this opinion validated by another person. Try as I might, I can't see any philosophical value in monogatari. It's always seemed to me like a "worst of" compilation of anime tropes, combined with a very slow pace.

I tried to like the show but the scene with Senjouhara, her dad and the male protagonist in the car kind of pissed me off for good and I couldn't bring myself to watch it any more.

It looks like only 6 episodes? I couldn't get english subs for the last 2 so I found them without any subs.

I'm seriously loving the acting so far, its over the top and ridiculous but I love it.

Can't find an episode 2 or 3 about, but I've seen ep1, 4 and 5 around on youtube! about to watch the latter two now, hopefully they are just as good as the 1st one!

Yeah the whole channel was shut down. Maaaaaan that's it for the english subs. I don't get it... (and I feel sorry for that kind person who made the subs... ;_; )

I really hope the show did well enough to get a second season. Need more of that Mikage x Hinata cuteness. I adored the ending of the first season.
