Why does Koharu exist in this timeline? I'm so confused.

She was already a baby before Rinko ever traveled forward in time. You see her as a baby in chapter 1. Which makes it unlikely she is Akari's child.

That does make a whole lot more sense! Not to mention that she was a bit too old to be Akari's natural child only 15 years after Rin-chan's jump, since she was older than the one who was about the same age as Rin-chan. Not that this series doesn't play fast and loose with ages anyway! After all, it says Akari was a first year in high school and then she was graduating all of a sudden!

Which is something an adoptive mother might well say to a kid. It's pretty much impossible for her to have had Koharu and be a top student who graduated with hopes of becoming a doctor, and without Rinko noticing.

If I'm correct, somewhere it says that Koharu is a high schooler. So she's like, around 15 at least? Akari is older than Rinko by 3 years, so she is 32 in the future. 32 - 15 = 17 years, which is Akari's age before the time skip. So yeah, agreed--if Koharu is Akari's kid, then Akari sure knows how to hide a pregnancy.

It's fun reading all the comments and I enjoyed all the confusion. This manga is really good. I also don't know what direction it will take us. So I will also put here what I've been thinking:

1) Rinko time travels, so whatever she does the present day, will automatically affect the future.

2) Rinko is time travelling in and out of a multi-universe, where there are alternate realities, so it means that which ever reality she time travelled, it still happens. Whether in one world she's with Akari's children or in the other world she's in a relationship with Yukina.

Regardless of what might be happening with all this time traveling/dimensional crossing shenanigans, I'm just happy that Rin is finally becoming an interesting character. As justified as it might have been, her prior emo personality was simply too boring to see on a main character, specially when it's used to force drama.

Edit: I'm not entirely sure why are people insulting A-chan at this point, with so little data. For all we know, she could easily be the one triggering the time travel/dimensional crossing for Rinko's sake.

What little data? In both timelines she is portrayed as a cheating bitch, her own "children" even hate her. If you want to hold out for a reveal showing that it was some grand plan and she had a justifiable reason then that's fine but don't act like there is no reason why we shouldn't hate her as an audience.
