Inugami is close enough, but Nekoyama gives totally different impression.
I think it's mostly because of the eyes. Somehow they seem wrong.

I think I know what went wrong in the PV now that I watched it again. It's just much too sweet. And Aki doesn't have enough tsukkomi power.

I like the mangaka's art syle a lot, with the crushing black shading, etc. Faces look waaaaaay too gentle on the adaptation, and color palette is too bright and soft.

Still, I am really happy for this!

If you're talking about Inu&Neko, the manga is still going. Two volumes out so far. It seems like a new scanlation group just picked it up though. I think there was a lack of interest until the shorts came out.
