You appear to be correct, Comic Yuri Hime has a readership of 70% female according to wikipedia.

That's based on a 2008 survey, from even before it merged with Yuri Hime S.

Do we know how much that percentage changed since then?

& also deserves an anime more.

NTR and Citrus anime adaptation was to promote Yuri Hime, I doubt Ichijinsha care much if their anime succeed or not as romance series in general always do poorly. But honestly Ichinjinsha should have just put all the money on Citrus instead of NTR, it's simply the better series and a better representative for the yuri genre.

In fact, I think Citrus would do better as an anime than YagaKimi, it's just more... rauchy and thrilling? Yuri aside, they appeal to Yuri fans for different reasons.

Let's put it another way. If the Netsuzou Trap and Citrus anime does relatively really well, Dengeki Daioh would want to have that same pie of success as well.

Kitta Izumi's known for liking yuri (and girls, she flirts with the other Milky Holmes members a lot). She had a show about yuri manga in which she and another voice actress interested in yuri (Mikami Shiori aka Akari from Yuru Yuri) discussed yuri manga from tropes in yuri manga to interviewing mangakas. She retweeted a picture of Citrus before.

Now that's interesting.

I'm pretty sure they're the vast majority actually...

I always find that surprising and fascinating considering since most BL manga-ka are female, you assume the opposite is true that most yuri manga-ka are male. But that's not the case at all.

I just wanted to point out that Seven Seas has now published vol 1 of this in English. They are also scheduled to publish volume 2 on Apr 7 2015 and volume 3 on Aug 18 2015. I would suggest that anyone who likes this series or wants to see more published yuri in English should buy them. I just received volume 1 and and pre-ordered volumes 2 and 3 today. They are available at Amazon.com and other places.

Maybe it's a good time to delete the first couple chapters that comprises the 1st volume on this site.
