Could be! And that’s why they extended the story from 80 chapters to 90 – because that’ll be a hell of a lot of work for Sungji to do! ;)
She's gotta work her magic for those two (^_-)
As for Seju going psycho, although it is no surprise, it was never confirmed whether she actually did worse things or not. The redhead situation, I found it normal, because Redhead was also cheating on Sumin too, so it was not exactly sabotaging their relationship. It was good for Sumin to know she was been cheated.
I think it would be better to keep her more neutral with hints of sinister like the past chapters, and let people decide who they like more out of Seju and Sungji. Now it's kinda forcing it t go to a certain direction. Well not for everyone, but definitely for some readers anyway.
And also the fact that they may reveal more crap in the future too, making her look even worse than this.Like Sumin was stuck with her, because Seju was deliberately destroying every relationship Sumin was in. Or even she ordered mole guy to hurt Sumin... Then Sumin founds out about all of this(Sungji helps her too) and realises that this was not love, but she was manipulated by a toxic person and finally moves on.
It was nice how we had a choice of liking either the ex or the current love interest, and this is what made this manhwa nice for a change. But this is the direction it seems to be getting now. It's not only because of what Seju did this chapter, it's also about what she will do in the future too. Things can easily get way uglier than this.
I personally don't think Seju is going psycho,
and what she ask of Sumin is really out of desperation and very in sync with her situation and her character. Also, while we see Team Gaji brought Seju down to a new low point, I really don't think they will Or can reveal anything. That's simply because even though Seju can be manipulated, she would never do anything unnecessary. She never stop Sumin from dating anyone or doing anything, and she never interfere with Sumin relationship (Redhead doesn't count cuz she is playing Sumin the whole time, it would be really wrong if Seju did nothing) before Sungji. Since Sumin always go back to her, she had always been confident that Sumin's relationship with other girls won't work out. All she had to do was wait. So I really don't think we need to worry about things like Seju had deliberately destroyed every relationship Sumin was in.
I also don't believe Seju planned the whole scheme for Sungji to walk in on her and Sumin. Because again, it's unnecessary. Before Sumin told Seju that she is cutting tie, I am pretty sure in Seju's head she still believe Sumin will come back to her as usual like all the incidents before. When Sumin said she is cutting tie, Seju really feel how threaten Sungji is. She had a emotional break down. But at the same time, she saw an opportunity to still get Sumin back because Sumin said she love her. That's why Seju asked for break up sex. If Sumin said yes, then that means 1) deep down she still can't let go of Seju. 2) Sumin become a cheater and Seju can use that to prove to Sungji that Sumin wouldn't love her just like all of Sumin's ex.
Sungji walking on them gave a bonus effect, but to me it's more of a coincidence than planning before hand.

I really hope that you are right because a deeper development would be desirable at this point.
But I meant that Seju kinda encouraged Sungji back then to be there for Sumin which could have led to her developing even deeper feelings for Sumin. So the “Do you even realize how I developed these feelings?!” could refer to her encouragement back then. Something like “Back then you gave me your blessing. And now you say it’s all over. It’s all your fault that I started this relationship in the first place!”
I hope you get what I’m trying to say. ^^It’s just a guess ‘cause with this story you never know what will happen next.
Great point. Sungji was really uneasy and unsure of her feeling toward Sumin at the time. It really was Seju who encourage Sungji. LOL, if this is true, then all I can say is, as much as I like Seju, she is really dumb on things that's most important.
two(ish) days late to reply.. but damn man, my heart hurts. I loved the way Sumin was changing, how she felt about Sungji and how she seemed to happy with her.. Sumin's lingering feelings for Seju were painful enough as a Sungji supporter to see in the last chapter, but giving in and cheating.. sigh... not that I didn't suspect it would happen but I hoped it wouldn't, I hoped she was above it.
I can't even say I hate Seju or Sumin. It's just.. frustrating.
Sungji is so naive too.. or something.. blinded by love? I love Sungji, and she wants to be happy with Sumin but I don't know..
I know this sort of plot twist is a tad overused in dramas, especially shoujos in general, and as frustrating as it is I'll still continue to love this series I think. I'm too quick to forgive it for an easy plot-twist (plus, if I'm being honest I don't mind this kind of drama in comics but I like it dislike in dramas? maybe it's easier to forgive drawn characters), and I can only hope that they make something unique out of it instead of being too predictable.
I also don't believe Seju planned the whole scheme for Sungji to walk in on her and Sumin. Because again, it's unnecessary.
Have you seen the flashback of her taking with Sungji? This was a part of herself we had never seen before. Also, it's completely up to Gaji whether they want Seju to have planned everything before hand so Sungji goes away, or it was a coincidensce. So we can't say she didn't do that on purpose. Or she didn't do anything like that in the past before, so that Sumin would always come back to her.
And last chapter really made Seju look bad, so it is very possible now.
I hoped she was above it.
Sumin and Seju have lost their self respect quite while ago. That was the last hit for them. Is degrading them so much this necessery for drama? I feel bad for them

I agree with you. I really love how Sumin and Sungji were developing their relationship.Little and little Sumin started to have trust and to feel one real connection, but now, all is ruined because of the infidelity.
I cannot understand how people try to justify Sumin´s action. They said that she was not infidel because Seju and her did not do anything more than kissing. Obviously they did not more because Sungji arrived.
Sungji is so naive too.. or something.. blinded by love? I love Sungji, and she wants to be happy with Sumin but I don't know..
In this case I think than Sungji was such a strong and mature person how Sumin or Seju could not have been until now. Each word that Sungji said was a slap in the face to Seju. But also, in the next chapter I hope to see a broken Sungji, not because I like how characters suffer. However, Sungji needs to do catharsis about her new sentimental situacion.
I also don't believe Seju planned the whole scheme for Sungji to walk in on her and Sumin. Because again, it's unnecessary.
We cannot say with all veracity if Seju planned than Sungji saw them.
The only things because I think all was a plan are because:
1) Seju was afraid of Sungji, she did not want than the blonde will win Sumin´s heart. (We can see this in the memory about chapter 27)
2) When Seju received the Sumin´s call she knew that something could happen for that she took the ring
3) Her office was open and when Sumin arrived (who is the only person who she hope that night) she did not close the door (Why?)
4) Seju sent the message in the night, the time that she knew Sumin would go to her office and also when Sungji just leave few minutes ago.
Many coincidences to be true!

Sungji still doesn't know that Sumin still love Seju. I guess that would be the most heartbreaking situation for Sungji. yeah, Sumin must have chosen her but the fact still remained that Sumin still have feelings for Seju.
imo. all the characters look bad xD. Sumin and Seju somewhat reverse their role on this chapter while Sungji is the most understanding and forgiving character I'd ever saw. all of them doesn't have any self-respect.
the chapter lacks intensity. it somehow falls flat. I actually don't get the twist. it only made Sungji look more of a saint. "oh yeah my boss and my gf usually f*** in here but I don't give two sh*** about it cause I love her" I guess Sungji is not that afraid to get her feelings hurt even though Sumin is her first love. it all felt wrong. everything about Seju and Sungji's relationship with Sumin feels wrong after this chapter.
this time it's not going to be 10 year cycle of waiting cause Sungji will forgive Sumin that easily and it will make Sumin realize how wrong she was when she hold a grudge to Seju. of course. the healing and forgiving scenario won't happen without some tragedy happening xD (hopefully they won't go with the cliche finale)

Well fuck... How the hell is going to turn into now... This should either be a live action show or an anime. Or err I don't know what they are called in Korea.

Many coincidences to be true!
I think Seju planned this as soon as Sumin told her she was coming or at least as soon as she told her she loved her. Well, lets say she "improvised" it. And tbh, that was very mean of her to Sungji but she did "warn" her and if Sumin was going to cheat on her in a situation like this it was in Sungji's best interest to know... The way she talked is more mean than what she did actually, because she kind of opened Sungji's eyes in a way. Sungji knew all along but I doubt she expected this as I said before; maybe feared it. That's why she says that maybe she thinks it was wrong to have these feelings. I think Sumin is definitely more to blame than Seju is. Seju might speak very rudely to Sungji but I think she understands her to some degree and judged it would be for the better for Sungji to ´get over with it´ because she was sure she´d leave Sumin after this, apparently. And even if she told the redhead´s husband, it's the same, the redhead was a jerk anyway, Seju just gave her a small push. In all honesty I'm just trying to point out that if you step back and look at the bigger picture Seju might not be an angel but even her unorthodox methods are probably preventing a bigger evil. So I don't think this is necessarily to make her seem bad; she does need to have that antagonist vibe to her though and go against Sungji. It was just one chapter as I said before and Seju was needed to be very into the role XD I don't think it was made to look Sumin x Sungji good because they pretty much spoiled it with Sumin's cheating. I think they made Seju kind of evil so that Sungji could break down. Well, though to be honest you could be right and it could go the cliche route but hopefully not.
I'd like to point something else about Sungji I noticed... I keep seeing carefully placed details to suggest Sungji's feelings without directly showing them. They make her so mysterious to us. You all say Sungji is very calm but Sungji doesn't particularly seem like a calm person... She feel off the stairs because Sumin was coming to see her, she cries easily... The right word for Sungji I think would be 'rational'. She can appear to be calm when she really has to. But I think she can also be a bit indirect with her negative emotions and struggle to express them... and breaking down and crying when she can't take it anymore. Okay, have you noticed Sungji's arm when we see her body, she's putting it forward a bit, like she's shocked... but the ultimate detail I found is her bag:
it's on the floor
have you noticed? she dropped it. And I mentioned they're concealing her eyes. For all we know she could actually be crying.
Also "things have changed" is it Sumin that says that... or maybe Sungji...? When Sumin comes in, we don't see the panel so maybe Sungji says that and she is mad at Sumin... I mean if she doesn't get mad at Sumin at this point I'm gonna die. =.=
Also maybe the next season will be about Sungji's and Seju's relation a bit. Hahahha, what if Sungji is really heartbroken and Seju decides to kind of bitterly help her XD?

Definitely, Sumin has a lot of the blame in this chapter, she was who forgot her relation with Sungji and decided to continue with Seju´s desire. (I like Sumin, but in this case I am not going to defend her as some fans has done) She was cheating, you cannot let it go easily, not when Sumin did not forgive to Seju in the past owing to the same mistake. On the other hand, redhead girl was not good for Sumin, everybody know it, but Seju did not choose the correct manner to finish with that relation. As Nami said, Seju chose the worst manner, she decided to tell all the true to redhead´s husband. For this, Sumin had to endure a scandal in her job and one beating. After that, Sumin did not trust in nobody more. So she could not have a real relationship anymore until Sungji appeared.
So I don't think this is necessarily to make her seem bad; she does need to have that antagonist vibe to her though and go against Sungji.
I think that Seju took an antagonist position because she feel threatened of Sungji. And the better opcion for her before losing to Sumin was push back to Sungji.Even so, for me Seju is just another principal character who show us the human nature. In this case, she represents when the human does not want to lose somebody importante in his life, the possessive face that everybody have when is learning to love and lose.

I totally agree with you.
In this chapter Sungji was rational and mature, something that deserve one applause, but how I said, I hope to see her pain. She needs to demonstrate her vulnerability.
I have also seen that scene again and I have perceived the same details.
As you said, when we can see her body, her hand is tense and closed. This could mean that she was containing her feelings. I saw the handbag in the floor too, so, this detail show us that she was in shock when she saw Sumin with Seju in the bed, since she dropped her handbag.
Also when Sungji said "Do you even know how I came to receive these feelings?" In the spanish version, this is the only part that is in capital letter which means that she could raise her voice. Finally, if we did not see her face it could be because she was crying.
Definitely, we will see her real reaction in the next chapter since apparently Sumin will not let her go without an explanation, I can say this because of the last image, Sumin arrived and traversed the door to see Sungji.

Yes, I agree, we need to see Sungji heartbroken and angry as well. I think this chapter partly proves that Sungji wasn't well developed as a character on purpose in order to have it as a big revelation afterwards. I hope Sungji listens to Sumin but doesn't act all forgiving. When Sungji says "it can't end the way you want it to" I don't think she means that she'll be the one to get Sumin and not Seju. I just think she means that Seju's relationship with Sumin is broken beyond repair and no matter what she does she won't achieve anything.
btw, MacySan, έφυγες από Θεσσαλονίκη?? ^-^
Hi, let me join the discussion. I think the latest chapter would give you the best insight about this story and the way of each character to love someone.
First, at chapter 23. We know how sumin act in relationship, after she got hurt because what seju did (cheating) and her family did (threatening, humiliating). Sumin tried to distance someone by drawing the line (not consolidating when issues arise and not try to open up)
Sumin ex said : comply with most of the demands, avoid anything that might start a fight from the beginning. It's your love style. A relationship that show the ending with an excuse that it's already decided.
So, eveytime sumin is in relationship, it will failed because sumin is the one who sabotage the relationship (not seju) by drawing the line and never embrace the problem. Maybe because she is scared to be hurt again if she open herself.
You know in every relationship, after the honeymoon phase, you need to confront the issues so the relationship can survive.
When sumin finally date sungji, she wasn't honest with sungji and won't tell about her pass problem. She just remind sungji that she could hurt her. Thus at chapter 27 (and continue to ch 55), we know sungji actually know that seju is a sex partner of sumin and someone who hold special place in sumin's life.
So at chapter 28 forward, we can see the possesive sungji, who tried to kiss sumin A LOT, convincing and confirming herself that sumin likes her not seju. At chapter 30, sumin even wondering why sungji like to kissing so much. And she did ask sungji about it, if feeling nice is the only reason sungji kiss sumin a lot. Yet, sungji didn't answer the question
So to be honest, sungji isn't that calm.... She just the type who bottle up inside, who keep the problem by herself and scared if she is being needy, sumin will leave her. In chap 31, we could see a bit how sungji way to love someone.
Sumin said to Sungji; "don't force yourself to please me". This is a mistake that often happened when someone have their first love.
Then chapter 32, the red haired appear. Sumin once again being a pain in the ass and when sungji asked "please at least tell me the reason", sumin answered with "don't worry about it", blocking the conversation. (It isn't a healthy relationship, tried to avoid a conflict that may happen in the future by not discussing what really matters)
Sungji is not that dumb, she knows that sumin have so many ex -es and "dark pass". But she tried to wait for sungmin to open up and tell sungji about it by herself. She forced herself not asking about it. (Remember chap 31 "don't force yourself to please me")
Chap 33 sungji drinking sweet things to comfort herself.... She can feel there is a problem in this relationship with sumin, but scared if she confront sumin, sumin will leave her. She said:
"I won't ask you about what happened, I won't even be curious, I can hold it"
Once again, sungji become people pleaser.... And sumin become an asshole, release her anger toward red haired girl to sungji, unconsciously.
Chap 34, sumin realize she doesn't have a right to be angry to sungji. And this is the turn of event. Sungji already thought that sumin will break up with her when sumin ask her time to talk about something. Instead, sumin ask for sungji forgiveness.
Sumin said that she didn't believe sungji enough... And sungji suddenly crying ...
Important detail: sungmin said that sungji tears have dried already, which means sungji has cried a lot before. Once again, sungji botle up her emotion.
In chap 34, sumin redeem herself. It's the first step she did to open up with sungji. She said: I thought terrible things might happened, I was scared. I was just give up (about any relationship), so for sumin POV, she have too many bad experiences, it leads to a habit to guard her heart and not let anyone come inside. But sungji is somehow different, sumin realize she doesn't want to lose sungji.
The thing is love between sungji x sumin is not divide evenly, sungji love sumin so much from the very beginning, scared to lose her, place sumin before her ownself. But sumin is just beginning to open up and fell in love again. She forget how to love someone, but sungji give her way back into love.....
For seju x sumin, I think their love with each other is pretty much even, but very toxic... Lol
So sungji character development is there, but it's very subtle. She isn't that boring. I like all the three characters, because all can be relate to. Maybe later, I will post seju POV, because she is an intersting character as well, and the prettiest.
The short flash back about seju when sumin have a date with sungji, comparing the pass relationship with the new one... It could mean something...aside that.... It's cute to see a happy lovey dovey seju and sungmin.
Chap 38, we get to see that sumin still care about seju although she already have sungji.
Chap 39, sungji hesitate when her friend ask how well sumin treat her.
Ch 40. The start of another drama. Good to see at least sungji show that she is upset when sumin refuse to have sex with her. The thing is sungji knows sumin have sex with a lot of girls before and more importantly having sex with seju, so no wonder she is asking a sex to sumin, since she is her gf now.
Ch 41. Another Pro team blonde chptr, sumin fell in love more with the innocent of sungji love. Sungji being passive aggresive though.... Lol. Once again, sungji show how INSECURE she is, asking sumin to say she loves her. Typical sumin, scared to approach the new love.
Another insight though, sungji said "I won't be curious about anything else, I just want to know about your heart". That's why she tried not to ask about seju to sumin.
Ch 43. Finally the "I love you" from sumin mouth. She regain her heart, feel relieved and cried, now she isn't an empty body with no soul anymore. (Just like what on of her ex said)

My question now is. How will the infidelity affect her?

I think team Gaji tweeted that they were going to update chapter 55 because they had to cut some scenes and think that readers might not understand the situation in the story. But I might be wrong because I only google translated it.

I hope it's gonna be something on a korean-revenge level. Mmm. I Saw The Devil level of mercilessness.

What you said have sense, because some people think that we will have other chapter before to the hiatus
So, that could mean than in the next wednesday will team Gaji give us the same chapter with other perspective?
That could be interesting !!
Thanks for the answer.

Very good points! :D You can tell the subtle details they placed on Sungji! I'm sure the last season will be more about her and we will actually see her thoughts and give her more direct development.
I dropped this like 2 months ago because i was scared of what direction it was heading and my god it's went full K-drama huh
Also i can't really tell did Sumin and Seju get to have sex or not?
last edited at Jun 7, 2016 4:29AM
As a Seju fan, I'm quite scarred for tommorow's chapter.
They did have sex, just didn't go full way yet because Sungji got in. They still had their pants on. Doesn't matter anyway, it's still cheating.
@Fay
I still have exams and then my friend will come next week
They still had their pants on. Doesn't matter anyway, it's still cheating.
I know i was just curious
I also don't believe Seju planned the whole scheme for Sungji to walk in on her and Sumin. Because again, it's unnecessary. Before Sumin told Seju that she is cutting tie, I am pretty sure in Seju's head she still believe Sumin will come back to her as usual like all the incidents before. When Sumin said she is cutting tie, Seju really feel how threaten Sungji is. She had a emotional break down. But at the same time, she saw an opportunity to still get Sumin back because Sumin said she love her. That's why Seju asked for break up sex. If Sumin said yes, then that means.
I'm not sure whether Seju planned this or not.. . She might have sent the message before Sumin told her anything. But in any case she did it deliberately even if she didn't plan it
MacySan I just changed my plans because my job in England didn't call me often, so I came earlier. Tell me if you are free some day though :) I'd really like to meet you!!

My question now is. How will the infidelity affect her?
I don't know.. It's up to the author. And how sungji will react about this infidelity is the turning point between all the characters. It will decide the ending. for me, In ch 50, "if things can't go back, u have no choice to play the fool"
In a way, I feel sumin still loves seju more than sungji. She scared about the possibility of seju suicide, she still cares about seju, even she doesn't want to admit it before. But she can't forgive what seju and her family did to her (and maybe her parents) , so going back together isn't an option for her.
In ch 51, sumin is still not sure, but she feel the need to see sungji. Maybe reassuring that what she did is the right thing. Somehow, I feel sumin think she have an obligation to reciprocate sungji's love, because sungji has been love her unconditionally....and it's her first love... which is not love for me, but more of a pity. Sumin still wonder if she can leave sungji (in a way it shows that she love seju more since she can't leave her before even she has tried), and she still don't know if she already give her heart to sungji. She tried to pull off her hand away, but sungji hold her tight.... Not letting sumin to go away.... Showing once again that sungji loves sumin more than sumin loves sungji.
Ch 52. Sungji loves sumin blindly. Altough sumin has compared sungji with seju all this time....
How sungji handle the situation so far really give her huge advantage to win sumin heart. So in this chapter sumin has decided that she choose sungji over to seju. Who would not fell from sungji kindness?
Still in ch 53-54 how sumin lied to sungji when she was on phone with seju and how sungji not telling anything about seju sick condition and that she met her.... Somehow I feel sungji know that sungmin still loves seju. But she believe in sumin's heart trying its best to actually choosing sungji over seju. It symbolize with that ring. Sumin realize that it has been a toxic relationship with seju and it needs to stop right away....
In ch 55. I think sungji is the one who said "think has changed". Sungji has been insecure whether sumin loves sungji or not. But that thought has changed, now she has more confidence about the relationship.
She said it can't end the way you wanted to, to seju. She declare a war. How sungmin ask sungji not to leave in the bus stop... Means something.
In many korean drama, a character as hot as seju (beauty, rich and loves the mc a lot) never get the mc in the end... And I kinda feel nami is there for seju...
Still..... I like both seju and sungji..... Can't choose yet
Btw, I feel seju's dad will give all his inheritence to seju.... When her brother visit the dad in hospital... It looks like a will

Can someone tell me whether sumin was inside the room hearing the whole conversation between seju and sungji in this chapter or not?

We cannot know with certitude. For me, she was in other room so busy with her shirt as to listen the conversation. Maybe she was in shock to see Sungji, because when she looked her, she did not try to talk with Sungji, she just ran to another room. Later, she came back, when she could assimilate all.
But, we will know what happened just in the next chapter.
