So Faking It got cancelled. Not sure if I should be happy about this or not.

I'm only at ep 7 of the 3rd season but it makes me kinda sad, there were lots of queer ppl and the characters were funny. I'm gonna miss it for sure

Totally agree. Sure it was messy and not always the best writing but they included an intersex character for the first time in television history, a trans guy played by an actual trans guy, a diverse cast, had a guest that was actually intersex, an asexual mention, touched the subject of religion in a positive lighthearted way and had so many sexually diverse characters & encouraged the idea of being bisexual or not identifying at all. Not like some other shows which allow like a maximum of 3 non-hetero characters and that usually to create a ridiculous love triangle.

I'll miss this show. Only hope now is that Netflix picks it up but I highly doubt it.

I... what trans guy? Is that later?
A guest that was intersex? Who?
Oh and Amy's mom who tried to accept and get along with her daughter tho, despite her prejudices and initial thoughts on the matter, that was cool. Like, that she tries
Oh and it had a polyamorous couple too :O
It was certainly a sexually diverse show, I really enjoyed it. I should like, go finish it now and mourn it

That's an unexpected phrasing.

I forgot that couple meant a pair of two :T

... "I bought a couple of batteries."
In my head that means a few, but it actually means two. Well shit. Ok. I see.
My bad.

Couple can mean few as well, but it is unofficial. In any dictionary the official definition of couple will be always 2, a pair.

I realise that saying a pair of two is pretty redundant but I was still think about "couple" at that point, and making sense of it to myself

trafi

Shaw is back. I laughed at the end... nervous laugh. I've been completely played
All those people who were crying for Lexa and are watching Person of interest must have been at the limit of nervous breakdown.

Some great wrestling between Shaw and Root =D

I'm not sure why, but that episode gave me Madoka Magica feelings. Obviously the situations are vastly different, but I felt the same helplessness towards Shaw as I did towards Homura after episode 10 of PMMM. They really did a great job of slowly foreshadowing the twist.
"You were my safe place" oh my god. Can't believe I saw this happen with my own two eyes.

I watched the first (and only) season of Go On, a comedy about a grief counseling group. It's actually really lighthearted (loss is a major theme, but it's rarely handled in a depressing way past the first few episodes). One of the main characters is a lesbian widow.
She has three one-episode love interests and hasn't had a serious relationship since her wife died, but I wanted to mention her here because she's one of my favorite TV portrayals of an LGBT character. It's an important part of her identity and both she and her friends mention it frequently, but it doesn't define her. And unlike so many comedies that treat gay characters like a walking punchline, her sexuality isn't the subject of dumb stereotype jokes. I liked her friendship with the male lead, who also lost his wife.
Predictably a few things remain unsolved at the end of the season, but the last episode provides some sense of closure, so you don't feel like you're just left hanging.

And after The 100 finale I can finally drop it. (I still can't believe I was able to watch it after 3x07). Lexa was a badass as always. Clexa scenes together were cute. And we've got confession. So there is nothing left for me there.

I lost my shit when I saw Lexa jump out to Clarke's rescue. I'm just really glad she was there even if it was just for a couple of minutes.

Personally I'm not dropping The 100, because although having fcked up massively there are lots of other characters I care(d) about and there's always potential for some more yuri to resurface.

Still, I'm hella pissed at what they did to Ontari, she had the most potential to become a well developed character but they just threw it out.

Knowing how koreans feel about LGBT it's probably going to be a huge disappointment, I'm not even gonna get my hopes up for this.

This isn't their first gay movie, but I'm not getting my hopes up either.

Had no idea. What other movies are there?

There's a whole history of "lesbian" Korean cinema. Most of it's pretty on the down low/plausibly deniable, but maybe look into the Whispering Corridors series? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whispering_Corridors

On that topic, the Fatal Frame movie from a couple years ago was a lot like them, and was Definitely Severely Gay.

My bad, somehow I remembered the Whispering Corridors movies as japanese for some reason. I did watch it with original dub so I don't know how I mistook it. Maybe it's time for a rewatch, atleast I remember them being good.

Fatal Frame is japanese tho.

Sounds interesting but not sure if I want to sit through an entire drama for a couple of minutes of gay. Did you watch it? Was it any good?

As long as they don't end up making the two straight, then it's all good in my book. I have a bad habit of placing hope into Korean media...

Based on the trailer and character intros, it looks pretty faithful to the original so far. The cinematic direction is really pretty if nothing else.

Apparently the writes of Roseanne, The Golden Girls and Gilmore Girls are doing a comedy for Tellofilms. Main cast includes that evil women from The L Word.

Btw, wayhaught is building up nice and slowly. I'm glad I gave Wynonna Earp a chance.
