Shaw is back. I laughed at the end... nervous laugh. I've been completely played
All those people who were crying for Lexa and are watching Person of interest must have been at the limit of nervous breakdown.
Some great wrestling between Shaw and Root =D
I'm not sure why, but that episode gave me Madoka Magica feelings. Obviously the situations are vastly different, but I felt the same helplessness towards Shaw as I did towards Homura after episode 10 of PMMM. They really did a great job of slowly foreshadowing the twist.
"You were my safe place" oh my god. Can't believe I saw this happen with my own two eyes.
I watched the first (and only) season of Go On, a comedy about a grief counseling group. It's actually really lighthearted (loss is a major theme, but it's rarely handled in a depressing way past the first few episodes). One of the main characters is a lesbian widow.
She has three one-episode love interests and hasn't had a serious relationship since her wife died, but I wanted to mention her here because she's one of my favorite TV portrayals of an LGBT character. It's an important part of her identity and both she and her friends mention it frequently, but it doesn't define her. And unlike so many comedies that treat gay characters like a walking punchline, her sexuality isn't the subject of dumb stereotype jokes. I liked her friendship with the male lead, who also lost his wife.
Predictably a few things remain unsolved at the end of the season, but the last episode provides some sense of closure, so you don't feel like you're just left hanging.
