Anyway... still not enthused by how these latest two chapters decided to use sexual slavery as their driving theme.

Im barely deep into magical girls or anything, I kind of larp it in fact. But I too was kinda taken aback by the fact that the author decided to go a NTR concubine esque route... does anyone know if precure goes through similar themes cuz this series felt kinda like it was tryna be precurey esque so the adultish themes caught me off guard. (I dont watch precure btw, again, Im a larper)

Not sayin this cuz it ruined the series for me or anything, I still like this series its just kinda like... "hmmmm" you kno? :3

Heh, just noticed the staff she is holding: It's the same one on the final page of Ch1. Also it's not that hard to figure out the timeline: This chapter takes place before the first chapter, the story bits so far has pretty much a flashback for us to give context. Also her General outfit has a white covering instead of the black ones used by the mobs in this chapter funny enough...it's also safe to assume that he was the one who sent the white lingerie in Ch10 pg2's flashback panel...speaking of which, where is underling-chan I'm worried for her (hopefully she found a girl for herself)

Excuse me but I have to question Junna's reasoning here: if she has moral qualms about turning magical girls into concubines, then why did she work for the organization which habitually does that in the first place? (So far no conscientious objection to attacking civilians from her though #IDFthot)

Somebody here implied she used to be enslaved herself due to also wearing a blindfold, but she apparently still followed them after breaking free? Que?

Where are you getting that she still followed them after breaking free? It doesn't seem like she broke free until she got defeated by the magical girls at which point she very much stopped working with the evil org.

im so confused. this explains some things but why does she want her to live now when she wanted her last moments two chapters ago

also does this confirm she’s the older magical girl?? because if so i have questions

I really like this series' art style, characters and general story idea. I think the execution is more than a little messy though. If it ever gets serialised, it might be worthwhile for the mangaka to work with their editor on some structural revisions to make it flow better.

Subscribing to Bielna's "blindfolded ⇔ mind controlled" theory (imho a very sound hypothesis), there are multiple instances of her having operated as Evil General without. (At first I wanted to link the end of ch. 25, but that one's probably in the present.)

Besides, the dude seemed to address her as an equal (unless something got lost in translation) and where all concubines act as little more than henchwomen; no leap to assume she's been working as General on her own volition for some time.

She says nothing of that sort here. On the contrary, she fully rejects the idea that it would be better for her to survive if it would be an unhappy and enslaved life

also does this confirm she’s the older magical girl??

Definitely seems like it unless the author is faking us out.

That's her human disguise. The blindfold is only visually apparent in her evil general form.

Maybe the higher rank does give her some agency but it wouldn't disprove her being mindcontrolled

Junna fell for Hane/Floria Rose the moment she woke up after being healed by her, despite knowing her for quite a while before that, so the corruption must've prevented it. Was the corruption broken by Hane's healing?
I want to think it was both her heart and brain that were corrupted, and by striking her down and then reforming her heart it recovered and let her love again, love someone Junna would've fallen for ages before if not for the corruption. But a part of it remains in her head, which would explain her yandere-ness and memory issues.

Sidenote, the shithead seems to have shed actual blood judging by the splatters at the end there, as opposed to the petals and leaves we've seen so far, which seems to be a magical girl thing (sane or corrupted).

We know she has gaps in her memory. My guess is that she was either corrupted or willingly chose dark power for some reason. I suspect she needed power to fight the "Fate" mentioned in this chapter, but because she was too compatible with it, her body adapted and transformed her into an evil general rather than a mindless puppet. As a result, her memories of her time as a magical girl have become distorted.

I mean, the most likely answer for 'why did she work for an organization that uses magical mindcontrol' is 'she was also under some level of magical mindcontrol'

As for the rest, we actually haven't seen her directly working for them since Hana healed her. What we Have seen is her still self identifying as being evil and her arguing that she'll fight Hana... but as the last few chapters ahve been explaining that is her last resort plan for if Hana would be defeated by anyone else. Taken with what came this chapter it seems like Junna's ideal outcome would be a world where she keeps Hana happy forever and she gets to get the good ending she deserves.

But if fate won't allow that? Well then Junna will become evil once again to ensure that Hana is at least given a 'proper' ending.

The closest parallel is HUGtto! Pretty Cure. The primary antagonist is the team leader’s husband from a future where she has died; he sleeps with one commander and then cheats with another. After breaking the woman’s mind, they transform her into a monster to fight the current teenage version of his wife, aiming to kidnap his time-traveling daughter, who has become a baby. He intends to kill the infant so he can advance a plan to freeze time and build a world without a future, keeping his wife alive and still so nothing can harm her. Everything he does serves to create a world where his wife survives; he carries out two affairs, breaks both women, turns them into monsters, and tries to kill his child—all to secure the teenage version of his wife in his possession forever, which is deeply twisted.

I’ll just reiterate what I said about the last chapter, if still applies here.

You know, some writers would really benefit from a person who can look at their work and just tell them no sometimes. (Like an editor.)

Wilternia...I guess that is her evil general name. Interesting.

We know she has gaps in her memory. My guess is that she was either corrupted or willingly chose dark power for some reason. It seems likely the strawberry charm probably helped her.

This supports the theory that the older magical girl who saved Hane in the past is actually Junna.

This chapter is definitely the closest to confirming this to the point where I would say that it would be kind of a tough bombshell to pull if Junna turns out to be anyone else or essentially a nearly replicated clone of some kind (down to the strawberry charm). Saying as someone who is open to the idea Junna might still not be the same girl.

Really the only thing is that Junna's memories as the older magical girl are probably gone and/or she no longer identify as her even if she remembers.

((Ensuring Hane lives an ever-bright future is the only thing on her mind now...but also would like a possible runback someday))

I am kinda curious on how the Floral Knights and the lord of Barren Hollow's Demon Maze operate now, like is there a certain point where every Floral Knights get sent to directly fight the lord and/or the lord pops out of nowhere to essentially overpower them after they reach a certain threshold?

Also damn, Junna did the "you and I are not the same". Unfortunately, based on what she said, she didn't kill the cur it seems.

What a mess, what a mess ... I'm eating a carrot if this all was really planned from the start instead of made up afterwards.

Gonna go off on a limb and interperet it as not a "fully" sexual thing. Judging by how Juuna says he's just "flaunting his powers" when he commands the other concubines, it seems like he's just reanimating their bodies or something simmilar to that, so instead of being turned into "husks" they stay beutiful only on his own terms.

Still despicable, and theres def a sexual nature to this, but wayy more pallatable to me then him just outirght SAing them to make them his puppets

I read this again, what exactly did she do to him at the end? i would have thought she killed him if she didn’t say “next time you open your eyes”

im so confused. this explains some things but why does she want her to live now when she wanted her last moments two chapters ago

ah, i was thinking of where she said “If I have to defeat the lord myself to have a future where she lives, then I will.”

Because we got a tag request for the removal of Rape and Foiled Rape Attempt that is attached to chapter 27, I'll post my reasoning for keeping them. I did some mental back and forth with myself and got a bit of a push for them by Nobody (penguin) and ultimately concurred.

I added the tags because I read the implications as presented and drew the lines forwards and backwards. Unless chapter 28 adds radically different context, which it probably won't since the dude is seemingly going to die and cut off that plotline for now, I think what's being implied is better off tagged than not. The biggest issue is whether the acts not being shown and requiring extra steps in thinking would thus negate the need for warning tags and I'm not convinced that someone who doesn't want to see or engage with that topic via blacklist would think that this speech of his isn't what is being implied to generate the ick factor. I don't believe that an evil general serving an evil organization that kills magical girls and forces magical girls to kill in kind in some magical war is really being a nice guy about how he's going about eliminating them.
The two tags serve more as a warning than actual content which isn't ideal, but there's only so many ways we can try to slice it in this current system without adding more targeted tags with much more limited or individual uses.
And things can certainly change if somehow there is added context from the future about the nature of things, but as it stands now as translated and implied I am leaning more towards keeping the tags.

I don't think it's bad to have the tags as a warning, as this chapter is him essentially arguing that forced sexual servitude to him is allegedly "better" than the alternative (according to him). It's definitely weird and gross. My main request here would be, can we also have a hetero tag for the last two chapters?
