Not really a fan of this luka characterization, i honestly more prefer how she is in say, feelings box.

I know, but hey, better focus on the good points right? I think its really cool that after all these years and taking in account how rigid they are with their culture and stuff, that legal gay marrige is not and ideal but something that is being worked on. Its a step on the right direction.

Not quite, it's only in Shibuya and it doesn't give them a marriage license so they're not legally bound per se, but it does give them certified recognition as well as the right to hospital visitation and shared rental agreements. It is indeed something praiseworthy as it's the first place in East Asia to even ackowledge same-sex relationships, so it is quite the stepping stone for the future and I believe other places could follow suit, but considering about half of the Japanese population is still opposed or somewhat opposed to it (from a poll held in 2014), there are still ways to go.

The art. The art though. Profiles and hands have hurt my eyesight. Aside from that, the idea itself is cute, except maybe I have a problem with Luka. I mean with calling her five years or so junior an onee-sama, to be precise.

Miku was released before Luka. It's not not weird at all.

It is weird (at least it can easily feel weird) , maybe she was released before but Miku's character is still 4 year younger than Luka and in most of the clip and song I seen Luka have a more mature feelings to her.

Here you've got a 20 years old calling a 16 years old (could be around first year of high school) Onee-sama... Well why not making her call miku something like that and make it works (tone down the sama) but here the personality + the exaggeration with "Onee-sama" just feel weird to me and to some others too it seems.
