inori-sensei's fixation on incest is the result of her rare condition known as "being heckin based"

reading this sentence put me in a coma

Damn, if only I could control this power.

Don't know how to interpret that.

A lot of nonsense to untangle in a single chapter, maybe it would make more sense if I better remembered previous chapters but still :P Was that device mentioned in any of the 60+ chapters before that? Because otherwise it feels like it came out of nowhere, Rei was in despair that they had nothing they could do just a couple of chapters back but evidently that whole time they had an ace up their sleeve?

Oh and if your answer begins with "in the novels blahblahblah" then that's the wrong answer, I don't care about them :P

Yeah, that felt like kind of a mess lmao
A whole bunch of flashbacks in quick succession to set up what this whole plan even is, and then another "actually it's all fine!" flashback to resolve the catastrope immediately... I haven't read the novels, but I hope this is just an adaptation issue. Like "oops, we didn't adapt ANY of that stuff and we don't have room to linger, oh well quick cram everything in at the last possible minute"

It's not a matter of they forgot to adapt something, actually everything after the fight with Lily's alter ego (and a lot of stuff before it too, like Arla getting backstabbed) basically didn't exist. Rei gets sad after the rejection, Manaria gives her a pep talk, and then she goes to the trial, and that's it.

So I think it's more of a result of them trying to add more (because the original was, as I said, maybe over a bit too quickly) and it becoming a bit messy is probably the result of making shit up as they go.

... I will be perfectly honest, I have doubts that explaining some convoluted swindle to a massive crowd of commoners would work, even in-universe :P I'm barely following it myself lmao

Yes we would indeed riot without the extra chapters adapted. Indeed. Glad to see these chapters covered. Can't wait for the actual final chapters.

Claire stepping the guy feet is a reference of Maria Antoniette, xd
The excuse that now the father is not a corrupt is bit nonsecical but is something that come from a Otome game with silly developments

To be fair, the whole thing with Claire and Dole feeling like they need to take the fall is a bit nonsense in and of itself, espesially because it meant handing power over to Silas, thus guaranteeing the new government would be completely corrupt.

Nah, I also remember the novel being more straightforward. I guess for the manga they wanted the finale to be more spectacular.

The act 1 finale in the novels was very much not this messy! Aonoshimo's added a LOT to the Revolution arc. I felt it was over too quickly in the novels, I guess she agreed, because it's three times as long as it would've otherwise been. Ex: "School Holiday" was only 6 pages shorter than "Revolution" in LN2. But in the manga, the former is entirely contained in volume 6. Meanwhile the latter has been what we've been on since chapter 51, and I can confirm that a LOT has been added.

Stuff was added to School Holiday too though, the loretta-pepi subplot was not in the original novels. I think it came from SSCC but I haven't read it lol

I think so, yeah. (SSCC = She's So Cheeky for a Commoner.)

Yes and there's much more about them there. This manga just barely touched on all that. Their arc is actually some of the best stuff.

Soooo about the series ending... Looks like chapter 70 will be the final chapter.

the text along the bottom says the next volume (#14) is the final one. It's already nearly over...
