Lol. Part of it is also I'm still using the app the same way I have been since 2011. I use extensions liberally - one that hides blue checkmarks, one that removes the "For You" and """News""". The app on the other hand.. yeah that's toxic waste in there.

If you are part of a community or have fun interacting with some other users it can be hard to abandon all of them and start again. Also, a lot of good artists are there and don't have alternatives, so if you make an account that only follows fanart posters (and freely block any drama you come across) you can still have fun while being mostly free from the poison. The trending/news section aren't removable on mobile but you can still ignore it.

this chapter was even more unhinged than the previous transformations, I love how targeted all this insane subculture discussion is, it's like a bottled up and concentrated dose of internet discourse each time

Yeah, the censored words and the background text are the biggest signs, but the other instance of censored memory is the way the second panel of page 66 has a clear splice line to hide what was actually brought in.

I was so so confused throughout this whole chapter ToT thought it was just typesetting mistakes but then everything clicked and I went from confused to terrified

I think the chocolate candy is a red herring. Based on this chopped panel, it seems that's not the only thing Fumi bought.

The thing that's censored, which I guess is some sort of hypnosis device used on Airi, is the cause this weirdness.
