As it stands I don't think Chiaki has any actual feelings for Mashiro and Mashiro is getting thrown off her game because all of her ex's and everyone around her just seem to want to use her and throw her away or talk bad behind her back so it's weird to her to actually be wanted by someone for actual help and not just her body. Mashiro is still falling first and hard ain't no way that's not what happens.

I think they're effectively saying they don't normally read this mangaka because they dislike the age gap series they've done, but they enjoy this manga because it's not age gap

The age gap is kinda implied in their roles as Career-focused Senpai and Newbie Kouhai, but if it was supposed to be relevant the author would've made it explicit.

For age-gap stuff I love I Wanna Spoil Yoroizuka-san! it's super wholesome and cute.

A Collar Only For You has great art and a pretty dumb story

Wanna Skip School in the Infirmary? Is also pretty good overall as well

At least with this author all of the age-gap stuff the characters don't usually get together or do anything until their of age. I guess in Collar the girl makes out with the office lady a few times but they don't actually get together until later lol.
