Honestly I think this is pretty interesting. It's fundamentally a more or less standard romcom, clearly inspired by watanare (the whole friend vs lover dilemma, socially awkward ordinary protagonist x sexually forward love interest who's also a model). But the pacing and framing are straight out of a horror manga. This dissonance carried the manga through the first few chapters for me.
Recent chapters though have revealed additional layers. As @Purple Library Guy says, Soprano is really more toxic to herself than she is to Mirei. She's basically forcing herself to be like Oduka Mai because she thinks that's the only way to win over Mirei. That's a fairly unique dynamic and I'm curious to see where it goes from here.
