Nah according to the raws on bilibili this first arc alone has 39 chapters and it's currently like, 30 chapters into the second arc.

I feel like it's trying to go for mysterious and/or disorienting, but because it's combining a strange premise with a very low rate of information, it lands more on incoherent.

Exactly, the whole plot is all over the place. The whole 'gaining consciousness' thing isn't well explained, the jail system and her backstory is also a mess. The depiction of abuse is also quite over the top.

Yeah it's not that bad, just a maximally edgy prison setting where the vibes take precedence over logic. It's easy to make fun of it, but that's because it was interesting enough to capture one's attention in the first place.

Yeah at this point I'm reading out of morbid curiosity first and foremost, with the romance being a distant second.

Every chapter is just the author answering the audience's "This is messed up" with "You ain't seen nothing yet."

I can already see it:

Shitty mom discovers her daughter's relationship with the "dirty commoner girl", sells her out to the cops.
Young cop gets a hold of her, bla bla yadda yadda "you're mine now" type of possessiveness he mistakes as love.
Forced marriage/pregnancy, she dies (maybe in childbirth), guy blames daughter for her death.

Doesn't the young lady look more like Su than the commoner girl?
