Didn't make any money, unfortunately. Volume 1 didn't meet its sales target, and volume 2 didn't sell anywhere near enough to get the publisher to reconsider. And it seems volume 3 sold badly too, but that wasn't changing anything.

This manga is kind of genius. I had to stop reading for a second to let everybody know a fact I only recently learned: Cats the Musical is about a cult. I don't know if Tsukamoto will eventually bring this up don't tell me because I'm on page hold on let me check 10 of the capitalism chapter. Big ups to the little brother reading Capital. Anyway, the cats are all auditioning to be the annual human (anthro?) sacrifice. I heard this and I was like ohhhh what's why every song I've heard from it is like "Hello I'm a cat and it would be better if I was dead." There was an old gay guy who used to go to my neighborhood diner and throw his breakfast sausage in the waiter's face. He'd say "I was Deuteronomy on Broadway," but it was actually just a regional production

Well, that sucks. Too bad that this kind of genius random comedy isn't appreciated my more, but not much we can do about that, since "nonsense comedy" isn't a widespread thing at the end of the day, not to mention it belongs in the Yuri subgenre, and unfortunately it was axed in the end.

Hopefully she'll draw more in the future and utilize her comedy and Yuri talents to the fullest and actually earn money so there can be more of this kind. I can't support directly because of where I live, but hope she'll gain more appreciation from the English-speaking and Japanese audience, so that there can be more exposure. The art is chaotic at times, but that and the story still pure talent.

The painful truth is that, overall, yuri doesn't make much money. It's always only a niche with a handful of consistently successful works and a whole ton of series that only reach 3 volumes (as per contract) and end. And the further you get away from Kirara moeblob slice of life 4koma the harder it gets to sell. The author's been candid in Twitter spaces (unrecorded, because she often says things she probably shouldn't) about how she struggled to get anywhere with yuri even though she wants to make yuri.

And, unsurprisingly, she's now writing a het romcom with similar absurdity. Chances are it's gonna sell much better, because it's het. That's just how it goes sadly. Gotta pay your bills.
