Hopefully she'll draw more in the future and utilize her comedy and Yuri talents to the fullest and actually earn money so there can be more of this kind. I can't support directly because of where I live, but hope she'll gain more appreciation from the English-speaking and Japanese audience, so that there can be more exposure. The art is chaotic at times, but that and the story still pure talent.

The painful truth is that, overall, yuri doesn't make much money. It's always only a niche with a handful of consistently successful works and a whole ton of series that only reach 3 volumes (as per contract) and end. And the further you get away from Kirara moeblob slice of life 4koma the harder it gets to sell. The author's been candid in Twitter spaces (unrecorded, because she often says things she probably shouldn't) about how she struggled to get anywhere with yuri even though she wants to make yuri.

And, unsurprisingly, she's now writing a het romcom with similar absurdity. Chances are it's gonna sell much better, because it's het. That's just how it goes sadly. Gotta pay your bills.

I'm disappointed since it feels like the author could have gone on for another 100 chapters. I don't feel we've exhausted their idea pool for this series at all. Hopefully we can get some more series from them.

Didn't make any money, unfortunately. Volume 1 didn't meet its sales target, and volume 2 didn't sell anywhere near enough to get the publisher to reconsider. And it seems volume 3 sold badly too, but that wasn't changing anything.

NY does indeed refer to New York in Japanese. It's the exact same reference as in the original text.

Very interesting. I remember vaguely that the author made a character sheet in more detail for all the main cast, which tell that her drooling is indeed inspired by personal experience…I wonder if that could be translated someday in the future.

The character bios included in the volume extras have been translated, as has all the volume-exclusive content. I've translated them purely as text, and the .txt file is freely available to people who have purchased a copy of the manga, either physically or digitally, through official channels.

And “hear it in her voice”, you mean the speech in the manga? I think that kind of connection would be pretty easy to understand for us, I suppose?

I mean you can literally hear it in the author's voice sometimes when she speaks.

Oh, and by the way, I believe that first chapter of this Manga has changed a bit in some scenes in the past and in the present version?
I think someone ought to check it out because I am seeing a very different version of the first chapter here with differences that include but may not be limited to speech lines, facial expressions, shadings, and certain extended scenes?

There are two versions of the first chapter. The one I translated is the original version. An updated version was later released with a lot of redraws, but the content (story, text, etc.) is exactly the same. This updated version was created when the series was picked up for publication, and is what you'll find in the volume edition.

You may be thinking of the oneshot this series is based on. The author wrote this concept as a oneshot for the "Ashi to Watashi" gal yuri anthology, which is incidentally where I found out about her. When she started posting an expanded series to Twitter later, I began translating it. Because the content is very similar, I have no plans to translate the oneshot.

The author has, on occassion, mentioned that she tends to drool a lot if she's not paying attention. It's a problem some people have, incidentally. And you can hear it in her voice, she sometimes slurs her words because of it. You've gotta wonder if there's some connection there.
