Now that everything is clear up, I thinks the true victims of this series are Hario and Takara.
Ema is clearly marry Hario for money and still want Takara as a side disk. I don't want to say it, but she a lot like her mother than how she like to think.
Not for money but she married him under false pretenses for sure and now deliberately seeking out Takara and confessing her love is sort of cashing in on that exchange. It really is just cheating now. He's not being treated fairly, even if her decision was largely driven by her mother's pressure (which I'm assuming was the reason because otherwise, given what her friend has said, Ema would seem worse and I can't imagine that's the intended view of her character).
I do agree that both Takara and Hario are caught in Ema's web and she's the only one that can untangle everything now that her mother is out of the picture. I don't see what's preventing her from explaining the situation to her husband and being with Takara besides discomfort. She certainly has friends who would be willing to help and access to LGBT+ spaces and she's not new to her sexuality. It's especially difficult because I don't feel like Hario would be that much of an impediment if Ema revealed everything.
I'm still waiting to understand more of why, at this point, she still acts as though a relationship with Takara is not possible, enough to basically offer to continue sneaking behind Hario's back with the woman who wants to lover her exclusively.
