Nice!
Sometime drew this before the ray music video where there is a shot of Iroha, Kaguya, Roka and Mami all wearing school uniforms so people called her a prophet.
This sparks joy

You mean Doujinshi manga? Because there is already an official manga of the movie already (possibly for promotional purposes)!
(But there has been some drama over the fact that the manga artist for the Cosmic Princess Kaguya, because some people discovered their tweets, and found out that this artist “find it hard to accept GL and BL”, and even added some little things in the manga for their own purposes…and some people I know are pretty mad about that)
But a new Doujinshi for this is still incredible! I hope to see more of their happy lovey lives!

Well, since anything after the film is considered as ancillary material, the manga can be easily discarded into dark history if it doesn't enhance the principal material. After all, no one talks about the Revolutionary Girl Utena manga or any of the official Love Live! mangas either.
Anyways, chat being like "Oh, Iro-P's here. Better help Yachiyo beg her girlfriend for something," is amusing.

Saw "Kaguya x Iroha x Yachiyo" immediately got excited thinking "omgomgomg a doujin of guardians of azuma" but it turns out these are just common names.

I imagine RF's Kaguya would get very well-fed in that doujin.
That was lovely ! I loved the movie way more than I was expecting and I'm so glad to see more of them. I wonder if Iroha will end up make a body for Yachiyo, too.

Do you any place where I could see more information on that ? I admit I was looking forward to the manga adaptation, just waiting for more chapters to be available and this is a saddening news but you know I would like to see what happened before making a judgement and can't find anything about it with Google.
Yeah, manga adaptation needs to be redone. Preferably with authors that's experienced with yuri
I love them sm theyre so precious to me

The matter is incredibly overblown and dishonestly put by people who don't seem to have actually read the manga. It trims stuff down like almost every manga adaptation of anime originals. It does not specifically remove yuri moments like some are claiming. Examples of things cut down are the sequence with Iroha going out to buy baby care products for baby Kaguya, Kaguya not being shown stalking Iroha to school and to the cafe before showing up there, the song sequences being simplified and having no lyrics and a number of small interactions not being represented on panel while the dialogue is kept. It is all bog-standard stuff to fit the slightly rushed pacing of adaptations like this.
The big interactions thus far have remained the same, from Iroha blushing profusely over Yachiyo, to Kaguya getting jealous over it, to the secret handshake. Some have also been added, like Iroha being stunned when first listening to Kaguya singing, Kaguya holding Iroha's hands at the beach and the two sleeping together at the end of the montage of Kaguya's streaming activities. If you check on twitter, the author's "crimes" are the minor detail of not including the second toothbrush in the glass in Iroha's room, which is most likely something the author didn't notice as she kept reusing the initial 3D background with only one toothbrush, and Mikado putting a finger on Kaguya's chin while declaring his challenge which is seen as forcing heterosexuality. This ignores the context of Kaguya being startled and anything but flattered/flustered, Iroha rushing in to attack him and him doing it in the first place to get Iroha fired up for the battle. That's how far the adaptation has got thus far.
People have also dug up the author's skeb where she details she's uncomfortable with taking BL/GL commissions. It does make her not the best choice to adapt this movie, but the way they're using it as evidence of her having an anti-yuri agenda is biased and not reflected in the product delivered so far. I do agree it isn't a particularly good adaptation, but its real issues are the art and pacing, not alterations to the content. In a better world Kadokawa would've put more effort into picking a more appropriate artist and given them enough volumes to keep everything in or even expand on it, but what we've been getting is just adequate.

Right, my bad I meant doujinshi. This is the first doujinshi for this movie on Dynasty, that’s what I meant ;)
Also, about the part where the artist has a hard time accepting GL and BL, that’s pretty messed up. I really hope they don’t change the important yuri moments. But if they do, screw that manga, there’s always the movie :D

I would agree with you. That's basically all what I've heard from the internet, and although it's all quite disheartening, I don't feel particularly angry about that. Sure, you could blame those things on the artist being an "anti-Yuri", but those things are not necessary related. Simply because people have better things to do than being anti-whatever all the time.
I was not really looking forward to the manga adaptation for it anyways, because the Movie is where we get the most details, and as a manga, things can only be trimmed down in terms of production, unless you want to increase the plot development by using more simple scenes ... which is not really happening here.
Basically, I am just disappointed that there are not any new things in the manga except for more scenes from the big brother, and even with them, his extra contents aren't very good. Because I assume that people who bother to read the manga are here for the anime, all the artist had to do is just copypaste the whole story and do it in their style while not derailing from the main line, feed us some extra stuff about the protagonists. If the artist even botched that up, then I don't even know what to say.
Aside from the "forced heterosexuality" part, the pages we have now seems to paint him as a big bad villain, paired with suspense just to wait until the other shoe to drop, but to me all that's unnecessary. Because there isn't a villain in this story. The main idea of the tale isn't about Iroha's competition with her brother (it's among many subplots like her relationship with her strict mom and long-gone dad), but about Iroha's pursuit of a happier ending with Kaguya growing to be more and more influential by her side and as her siginficant partner in life.
What do I want from this whole deal anyway? I still think bullying the artist and cancel-culturing it all is too much. All I want is the artist to do their job, adapt the original story, and at least make at least a bit more development that actually means something?
Really Sometimes cooked so well on this one ! I hope she does more ;-;
Translated it quick for a friend who also love the movie, hard for a french to translate in english lol
For the manga ... really it's a disapointement. I have read the book and this one it relativly well done! It does suffer from not having the musical moments with the lyrics, wich give the feelings and emotions of Kaguya and Yachiyo, but you have the story from Iroha's perspective and thought. And yeah it's clearly more explicit how she grow found of Kaguya. The book really give you more hindsight and scenes on Iroha's feeling and turmoils.
But the manga, oh boy. It feel like cheap promotional manga to make some bucks out on a movie that gone over it's budget. The art is not great and the story is compressed very badly. I think people who discover Cosmic princess kaguya with it won't understand how great the movie is. It's trimming done stuff and goes from scene to scene without links. Also feel like the mangaka just was given the storyboard and didn't saw the movie. Mikado is super out of character, why make him appear as a super baddies? In the movie and book he is clearly just trolling Iroha to force her out of her shell.
Nah for the manga, don't bother with it. They clearly took whatever mangaka was available and not too expensive to commission from and made it on a budget. It's just pure promotional adaptation that add nothing. So really the mangaka here is just a worker they picked because they were available and needed to work on something. They are not doing a good job but they aren't different from your super market cashier on this one: just doing a (most likely) low paid job to pay the bill.
So really, if you can japanese, read the book, or ask a publisher to have a translation of said book.
I wonder if Iroha will end up make a body for Yachiyo, too.
Who do you think is inside the Kaguya body?
