Any stories about unrequited love? I've browsed a bit through the "wishful thinking" and "yuri crush" tags but most of it isn't really what I am looking for.

I tend to prefer yuri stories focused on adults, maybe with drama elements. I've been reading Even Though We're Adults and this one sort of scratches this itch, but I want more!

I'm also interested maybe in stories featuring like a young adult protag pining after an older woman, are there any like this? Most of the series I've seen in the adult life tag that have an age gap between the two leads is from the perspective of the older one of the two it seems like.

Watamote is definitely an example of a femcel protag that i like. But a lot of the fan comics i read of her take away her pervy-ness and initiative and just make her shy.

Honestly it feels like that's a trope/topic more frequent in manhua than manga. My first and foremost suggestion when it comes to that being Unaware His Majesty Is a Girl.

On the manga side, there's I Want to Make Black-Knight Fall In Love With Me! (I haven't yet read the final chapter that was released today, but it apparently got axed after 3 volumes) and, for a blast from the past, Iono the Fanatics (which is more of a palace drama than a courtly intrigue most of the times, but then there are multiple assays at the Queens life, soooo...) which every user of this site should consider required reading.

Overall, the Villainess and Historical tags have significant overlap with what you're searching. I also refer thee to the Yuri Otome Isekai Masterlist III

You could check the Monster Girl tag or try a Monster Girl+Yuri search. Just add additional tag filters for preference.

My reccomendations on Dynasty might include Snake Woman and Little Miss Offering and Alien Girl, but neither of these have much badassery or adventure. Could also try Kobayashi's Dragon Maid for some humor.

On Webtoons, you should check out Mage and Demon Queen which seems like it would check all your boxes. (And, as a bonus: It's complete! Edit: Although, I guess you have to use the app to read it in full. They only leave the first few chapters of a series on the web version once it's finished.) There's also The Dark Lord's Confession, but that's a bit more bi-subtext.

Only focusing on ryumimi yuri because the list is already long:

• It's almost too obvious to name, but Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid immediately comes to mind.
• My personal recommendation is I Don’t Need Promises, which is sadly only a one-shot.
• Two series if you're willing to stretch the definition of "Dragon girl" a little bittle are Rescue Will Not Be Necessary. (Imugi, kind of a korean lindworm) and Snake Woman and Little Miss Offering (Serpent, duh). The latter is technically not concluded, but it's by Nagori Yu, who just starts a new variant of the same Pure Maiden x Tall Onee-Sama whenever she grows bored of the old one...
• How Did a Pro Player Like Me End Up as a Max-Level Priestess in Another World? is a gender-bender isekai with an affectionate ryumimi companion. Only two chapters scanlated so far though, and I'm not sure if romance will ever be the focus.
• I never watched Manaria Friends, but I doubt it yuri beyond subtext, nonetheless Anne x Grea are frequently shipped.
• If you are okay with Doujins, definitely check out Arknights. Whilst the game has no "normal" girls (everyone is a form of monster person), there are plenty of adorable pairings featuring Ryumimis. (Be wary though, this is one of those franchises to which "Incestmaxxing the dragon bloodline" definitely applies.) My personal recs: Alina x Talulah (Ryumimi villain and her deer wife), Ch'en x Hoshiguma (Dragon x Oni), Lava x Nian (Dragon x Demon) and Saria x Silence (Dragon x Birb, Ifrit is pretty much their adopted daughter but their relationship has been ... strained).
• In a similar vein, Touhou has Yachie, who is usually shipped with either Keiki or Saki.
• I'm fairly certain the Nasuverse also has an abundance of Dragon Girls, but I personally avoid that.
• Whatever you do, stay away from Cross Ange in the name of all that is dear to you. It's the most disgusting bait I've ever seen.

For Webtoons I'd recommend "The Beast of Hadingely Hill." That's truly a beauty and the beast like story. Extremely good and girl's love.

Both hosted elsewhere. These are Romance and fairly straightforward, I wouldn't call them evil exactly but they're definitely about mental health and some pretty questionable characters. There's also stuff like After School Love Affairs which is more, awful girls being awful to each other. There aren't too many Yuri stories about questionable characters and there aren't many about things other than Romance either, so it's a tough question :)
