The corpse is drawn on the next panel so i assume it's symbolic for Miya no longer being in the picture(literally in the panel)

Okay, page 23 confirms to me that we got a big ol' case of the unreliable narrator going on here.

I very much doubt it's somehow a mistake the artist made or a way to get around drawing the corpse again. There has to be a reason why there's a police outline and evidence markers on the ground between them where Miya is lying in all other panels.

There's definitely more going on that "just" the weird zombie apocalypse stuff.

Page 23 is just symbolism, I'm sure. Like Himewari said, Miya is literally "out of the picture" now. The police markers aren't actually pointing out any evidence, they're just labeling Eko and Risa as 1 and 2 as subtext to go along with the literal text on the page ("Now it's just the two of us."). Miya's corpse is drawn on the last panel of page 22 and the first of page 24, so I have a hard time believing that it's anything else.

This is a story about a zombie apocalypse. Like kickap00 correctly pointed out, it would have been extremely lame for that to be the way she died.

The signs were too explicit for it to just coincidentally not be a stroke. What I think (added onto the theory that Eko is a carrier for the virus, thus possibly being the point of contagion to Miya) is that the virus is what caused the stroke. Because yes, this is a zombie apocalypse manga.

But that's too coincidental to not be a death by stroke. It may be an additional defense mechanism from the virus as insurance that the host's body will die and can be taken over, or it may be that everyone who's bitten and/or infected (and isn't immune to the virus) dies to a stroke.

We know biting is a point of contagion in most zombie stories, and it is in this one too. There's this underlying assumption that someone bitten just eventually kind of turns into a zombie, though. In reality, it would make much more sense for the virus to eventually cause a stroke - and freely take over the host body since it's now dead - than some non-descript "turn" mechanism. The virus can't take over living bodies, so it has an explicit mechanism for killing them in case they didn't die of blood loss.

...Author don't fking give me hope that Miya is alive lol...unless she is actually going to be revived in which case 3-some poly route is still alive~!!!!!!!

Going to be real awkward between Miya and MC at first though...

Huh...Risa-chan's father is a research/scientist...So he probably could have helped made or aid in Risa-chan in becoming a special type of self-aware zombie (Father is probably dead though and Risa-chan probably only regain awareness after a few days is my guess...RIP pops lol XD)

So yeah...MC been in a sleeping coma [Possibly her body was trying to resist the zombie virus is my theory (She need to get bitten to test if that theory is true though)] for at least 1-2+ weeks lol (Absent for a week from school and signs of infection slowly spreading everywhere.)

Also...is that one of the MC's bullies at the end or am I fking Ret@rd/stupid? If so then guess MC gets to have her revenge 100% lol~

Also, those flashbacks. Completely normal except for things that are abnormal... and don't fit in the slightest. The more pieces of answer we get, the more confused I am.

No idea who the new girl is, but I've got good vibes about her. Pretty sure she's a psycho as well !

Umm...Hmm...I think that flashback is when Risa looking at her phone was when she didn't meet MC yet after becoming an half-zombie so (Notice the bat and two bodies. I could be wrong and totally ret@rd though so feel free to correct me though....). Either Risa-chan missed Miya-chan's b-day (brought the scarf one month before that day) or the worst case scenario Risa killed Miya on her B-day which is kind of fked up lol...

Seems like Risa was in contact with someone who was studying the zombies before the outbreak. That's probably related to her ability to remain (relatively) sane.

Also please let Miya stick around in some form she's a really interesting character.

That bully had no hesitation or trouble at the idea of killing Eko even though Eko is not a zombie...You can call Eko a psychopath (kind of true but I said that is more of a result of a twisted mental state cause by bullying and environmental stress) but to me the bully is more of a psychopath (b*tching and complaining about her bullying getting snitch on) and anyone that empathize with that bully probably is a psychopath themself or just a weird way of thinking...

No one here is innocent or sane (Except maybe Risa-chan who is just a tiny bit sane and slightly yandere. Also maybe Miya-chan too [Though technically she did bash her mom's head with a vase...] but she might die or live status...Anyways I guess technically there is a 60-70% insanity ratio here?
