Hear me out, if the cost is Michiru's life right, can she just Fear Street this shit? Like, set up an event where Michiru is killed in a way that allows her to be resuscitated. Like if she drowns and her heart stops, technically she would "die" and therefore pay the price, then she'd be revived and break the cycle.

I mean it's worth trying, clearly homegirl has nothing but time.

I wonder if Aizawa telling Michiru will be necessary to end up breaking the October 5th cycle. Yuuka requires the knowledge of the other days to use her magic well, so Michiru might also need that knowledge.

So, did Ayaka forget that Yuuka was a witch since she said she doesn’t remember what happened before she went to sleep? I guess it makes sense since that day just didn’t happen anymore, but she clearly remembered that she can die to repeat a day, so it seems she at least remembered bits and pieces of it. I thought it was weird that Yuuka was with her in the hospital after that reveal.

...I kinda had a feeling she would be unable to die, but... a whole year?

PTSD would be putting it very, very lightly

Her obsession to save Michiru san is far greater than to care about her own life... D:
Her repeatedly taking off her own life so that that day don't exist, and Michiru san really has died more than a 100 ways in this manga ... (O_O ;;)

She cares Michiru san so much..
Is there a miracle in which she can save Michiru san? (T___T )

So…I really don’t get the whole reveal with Yuuka, or even the argument they had. So is Yuuka just some sort of yandere that doesn’t actually believe Ayaka’s condition and just likes her cuz she’s cute and doesn’t really care about her as a person? But she’s a witch herself, so she should know stuff like that could be real, so was that whole argument just a farce? And has she been the one responsible for “choosing” the days this whole time? Canonizing days Yuuka herself wants to carry over while skipping iterations she doesn’t like, like the ones where Ayaka gets closer to Michiru? So Yuuka is the one responsible for killing Michiru over and over to try to get Ayaka to give up on her and move on so she will stay “her Ayaka” and not be anyone else’s? Then why doesn’t Ayaka seem to remember this and keeps going to the hospital with Yuuka every time Michiru dies? I also don’t really get the whole thing about Ayaka’s power not being “perfect memory” but being “able to relive moments” or whatever.

Idk, I’m still interested in this story, but it just seemed to really fly off the rails into a direction I’m not sure I like in an instant (and not just because it made Yuuka evil for some reason and I really liked Yuuka). If anyone’s got a coherent, easy to understand explanation of what’s going on now, I’d be grateful, cuz I’m getting REAL lost lol

Ok, I think I understand the magic stuff... maybe. Ayaka's ability is to "reroll" (reobserve) each day in her dreams, multiple times. This is why she thinks she never dreams and just skips right to the next perceived morning, the repeat days ARE her dreams (although it seems like they are real in some sense too). This is why, when they were fighting in ch 13, Yuuka said that her idea of the days actually repeating was nonsense and that they are really just dreams: Yuuka obviously knows the truth, and in her frustration with hearing the same wrong explanation for years she let some of the truth slip out.
Dying also triggers the "dreams" since it is also her losing consciousness I guess.

Yuuka's magic is to stitch together or remove past events, including the alternate versions in Ayaka's dreams. I guess she has been both relying on Ayaka telling her about her dreams, and also somehow reading Ayaka's dreams every morning to get the material to work with, hence why it shows her being in Ayaka's room sometimes even when the door was locked and why she seems to know things I doubt she was told about. It seems like normally she picks just one day to use entirely instead of cherrypicking events from the alternate versions, maybe so Ayaka doesn't realize something more complicated is happening. She has used this to remove any days where Ayaka gets closer to anyone else so she would be totally reliant on her and stay under her thumb.

Michiru is the one exception, since she seems to always choose to be friendly with Ayaka on every version of a given day and Yuuka can't cut her out (but can pick bad days like when they fought and remove their best days together). This might be because her "deja vu" is telling her that she will end up being together with Ayaka, so she isn't subject to the same inconsistent whims that other people are. I suspect this is also related to why she keeps dying on oct 5, somehow. Maybe she foresees that Ayaka will die on that day (true in an ironic way since her death causes Ayaka's suicide), and is dying to try to protect her or unconsciously committing suicide so she never has to face that?

There are some smaller details I'm unsure about, but does all this make sense or am I overthinking parts of it?

Two things I really don't get though:
Why did Ayaka wake up in her room after saving Yuuka? They make a big deal about it but I still don't understand the logic there.

Also, what's with the earthquake Michiru couldn't predict? Maybe she did predict it and just lied for some reason, or it wasn't really an earthquake but was a bomb set off by Yuuka to try to kill Michiru, but both feel like weak explanations.

I legit can't stand her COUSIN. I usually don't mind incest related stories but Yuuka is obnoxious and annoying every chapter where she takes the main focal point had me rolling my eyes and skimming some.

I really like this story honestly surprised it doesn't have both incest tags and love triangle. Even if they're one sided AF and just flat out annoying.

I heard the LN for this was all but dropped since it's been a few years since a new volume was released. However I really do hope we get more of this. We need to see her finally find a way to save her future wifey.
